| I would like to request that my character, Hiram Wilberforce, be the Imperial Governor of the planet Prakith (as I have begun to RP here). The canon, at this point in time, is unspecific as to Prakith's fate; it became an independent Imperial world under the warlord Foga Brill—see this page, which explains in great detail the form of government, military, etc.—but, according to Wookieepedia, "in 18 ABY Foga Brill was betrayed by a cabal of his officers, who killed him and attempted to broker peace with the New Republic." I am led to believe, however, that this attempt failed, because Wookieepedia also notes that "Prakith was finally captured and integrated into the New Republic after many years of attritional warfare." My character, therefore, would fill in the gap between Foga Brill's assassination and Prakith's eventual capture by the Republic—it will also, I believe, bring some good old Republic versus Imperial conflict back into the RP since the formal Imperial Remnant is no longer at war. It would also provide rogue warlord characters with a place to refuel, repair, recruit, etc. and generally keep the action going. This is my version of events: ● Wilberforce is one of the officers that conspires to assassinate Foga Brill in 18 ABY and negotiate peace with the Republic.
● Brill's system (i.e. the Grand Imperial Navy, the Red Police, etc.) resists change, and many of the people distrust the Republic. The conspirators also witness the Imperial Remnant, in 19 ABY, plunged into economic depression because of its peace treaty with the Republic (source), and is reluctant to let this happen to Prakith.
● Shortly after Brill's assassination, a number of Wilberforce's co-conspirators die under suspicious circumstances while attempting to establish contact with the Republic (probably assassinated by the Red Police).
● The conspirators begin to turn on each other as it becomes clear Prakith needs a leader, and there will be an inevitable power struggle.
● Wilberforce orders all of his co-conspirators arrested, convicted of treason, and executed. He declares himself Governor.
● Wilberforce abandons his plan to make peace with the Republic and, in order to preserve Prakith (and his power), begins to support rogue Imperial warlords across the galaxy in exchange for defense and favors.
● The Republic, meanwhile, continues its strategy of attritional warfare, and Prakith becomes steadily worse off. I also request the following fleet for Prakith, the much-diminished "Grand Imperial Navy":
● 1 Imperial I-class Star Destroyer
● 2 Victory I-class Star Destroyers
● 2 Imperial Patrol Frigates (link)
● 1 Adz-class Destroyer (link) And various small freighters, transports, etc. that are commandeered by Prakith which, along with the above ships, will be used almost exclusively to defend Prakith, and nothing else. This is consistent with how Prakith is portrayed in the canon as a fortress world that the New Republic was reluctant to assault directly. Sorry that I already started RPing this before it was requested. I was just eager to get started.
