The ship seems abundantly reasonable, and I vote to APPROVE. Although I'm not familiar with a "mass transceiver." From the name, it kind of sounds like a teleportation device although I assume this isn't the case.

Nah, it's just a specialized communications device. It can transmit in an entire system instantaneously with none of the lag associated with FTL limitations. I'd guess the range around 1,000 AU, so it's not an interstellar comm device. The downside is that the receiving vessel must also have the same system to be able to receive communications from it. It's primarily meant for buyers of Ravak & Larben products. Sort of a nifty incentive.

I'm still resistent to the random tech that has never been developed, and find myself increasingly curious what the hell your inspiration for such is, but this isn't a pocket Star Dreadnaught so...I APPROVE as well.

Odd as it may sound, but building ships is an art to me. It's one of my largest joys in RP. I could care less if other people use them or I do, though I prefer others to use them. I could show you a design for a ship I made for a guy in a space battle RP. It'd make your head spin. Inspiration comes from far too many years of watching scifi shows and trying to meld things together. It also helps I enjoy science.

I enjoy making designs myself. Too bad you weren't around back in AGD, or you would have seen my best work, that's been used anyways. The Kor Vella that I had for Corellia was to be a tribute to some of those designs, but that was screwed to hell. The pocket Star Dreadnaught jab is merely a joke. My main issue with your ship designs is that it includes all this new tech, which isn't detailed. I do appreciate new tech, believe me...and I also went overboard in my beginings of RP after getting off the AOL forums and coming over to MSN back in the days of SJN (Jace, remember the monster Terror-class Super Star Destroyer?). The problem with not explaining or detailing new tech, is it doesn't have an established limit or capability, and it isn't easily referenced. A player couldn't get onto Wookiepedia and find out what induction engines are or, to reference a previous request, what quantum weaponry is. Thus it provides confusion, and the ability of the creator to pull things out of thin air on someone, not that I'm implying you would go overboard with that, I've seen it done before.

You do have a point... I'll have to compile a list and information as to what unusual stuff Ravak & Larben utilize and what it does and then post it here on the site somewhere as a reference. As to why it is different, I could only say that alien technology that didn't evolve along normal paths due to their secluded nature took on aspects that were more useful to them.

Alien technology is fine. I support the why to the new tech. All I ask is for a list of this technology, how it works, and what it does. I would say post is on the OOC Forum, but perhaps the Request Forum would be best.
