BACKGROUND:
Witnessing the massacre on the lower levels during the great Jedi Purge, Claudavius hid his own abilities for the longest time. Eventually, he was kicked out of school for a lack of discipline and forced to work in the lower levels of Coruscant as a dish boy. It was during his tenant as a dishwasher that he met one of the last Jedi, hunted down and exterminated by Darth Vader himself. Perhaps that meeting had not gone as well has he had hoped...
Vader sensed some potential in the boy, and Claudavius found himself arrested and in the grand audience of the Emporer of the Universe, the supreme and venerable being of everything holy--the great Chancellor Palpatine. The Darkside manifested itself in Claudavius, and he strove to surpass the other darksiders; but the training was rigorous and tough, and in the end he failed. The Chancellor had no use for him, and he was discarded as another failed experiment.
But several members of the Inquistor Order said that they had a position in their order for him. He joined willingly, manifesting the darkside as he worked to regain the favour of Chancellor Palpatine; to become his pet, and to surpass Darth Vader. Claudavius discovered new machinations with the force; transforming simple creatures to things mutated and deformed. His proudest achivement was the transformation of a local hound into the darkhound he had now. A ferocious best that loved to be tickled beneath it's chin. Whose bite was venomous enough to kill within four minutes.
Yet Claudavius was not happy, and he strove to make the darkhound better. He transformed the mutagen, and changed it's anatomy with the force. What once would have killed, became a thing of great pain. Congealing blood vessels together so that your blood began to solidify, and similarly clot your veins. The result was that your veins would explode, and you would bleed from every orifice; screaming in torment as ten minutes of agony stretched on and on...
Then the Chancellor died, and the Empire fell apart. Claudavius' dream became little more than idle fancy, and he fled the Coruscant system, eventually joining with some sector Moffs that had formed a fledgling Empire known as the Pentastar Alignment. He had found his home. His first task, which eventually seated him as Grand InQuestor of Judgement, was the interrogation of one of Admiral Thrawns men to learn about the Admirals plans. Claudavius used his hound to bite the man, then relieved himself to fetch another cup of coffee. The man, already fearing for his life, opened up his veins and poured the coffee down the straw to prolong his life.
Claudavius laughed when he had returned, pointing out that it was futile, and that his blood would congeal no matter how had he fought against it. Defeat was imminent. The man cried out in pain, and eventually with information...
So then did the saga of Saurn begin.
