| Ryuka tas Vorhn
Ryuka Tas Vorhn, alias "Darth Vorhn" began her studies as a standard Padawan Learner, given like many infants to the Jedi Order. Trained by Randal Vex, she grew accustomed to dealing with the Darkside, in her training as events unfolded which slowly chipped away at the Old Republic. Both as a Padawan and later as a Knight, she has always been a "blackspot" to the Jedi and Council. Unlike Jedi Masters, such as Apocx or Havoc, she claimed that the Force itself was a transient entity, and needed to be handled in the same manner it existed.
The masters preached patience and restraint through understanding of the Light. But this was not enough for Vorhn. Nothing ever was.
The rise of the Mandalorians turned out to be precisely what she wanted. Here was a foe with a strong military, and a culture of battle that intrigued her. Not just their arts of war making, the subtle nature of their honor system, and their undying belief in their own supremecy. It was like fresh air in a stagnant room and and it called to her. Pouring her mind into understanding a aspect that the Jedi had forgotten, the primal natures of the enemy, she slowly found herself swaying from the path of a Jedi. The Mandalorians did not cater to ruminitions from the Force, or even more so from the bloated object that was the Republic. The knowledge arose to her as a epiphany, or more likely as the first signs of her fall from grace. The Darkside was simply a weapon, as much as a Lightsaber. But to properly wield it.. required mastery.. not obesiance or servitude to the force.
To pursue her growing desire for knowledge, she delved into the nature of Korriban, and emerged a stronger more completed entity. Rallying the fledgling remains of the Sith, she became of the mind that the Republic as it stood did not deserve the protection of the Jedi. So she opened the Galaxy's eyes in the most primal way that was possible. Warfare. In that war, she permitted the Sith to rally behind her. Everyone believed it was a bid at Galactic Dominion, which from the Sith's aspect it surely was. It was their great revenge against the Jedi, and she capitalized upon both sides to her full advantage. But Vorhn never fully considered herself a Lord of the Sith, though she commited attrocities that were on par with Vader on more than one occasion. In her own words, it was a test of morality, and a test for the Force itself. The Jedi and Sith performed well in some aspects, while outright failing in others. Usually failing in the same points, which Vorhn knew. It was simply children pitting the Force against the Force.
Historically Vorhn should be remembered as a traitor, and one who dealt the Jedi undeserved and massive wounds, and then keeping true to her character, she dealt the same handicaps to her erstwhile servants, the Sith. It was only through the actions of a few Jedi that the Republic was protected. As a important footnote; The Sith were defeated, not because they were not strong, but because they like the majority of the order were shackled to religion and without Vorhn's leadership they were chattel.
It is unknown how she escaped justice, but she was never tried for her crimes. Forsaking the Republic in the aftermath of the Twin War, Ryuka studied the leylines of the stars in solitude and came to a final conclusion in the cold starry void. What that conclusion the great betrayer may have found thankfully must of been taken to the grave.. for the last time Ryuka Vorhn was seen was some 1000 years ago..
2015 (Author Update!):
And yet in the end, not even the grave could fully conquer Ryuka tas Vorhn. No not she who faced Mandalorian, Sith, and Jedi..
In the end, Vorhn remained both in life and death a Dark Lord of the Sith, and a Grand Master of the way of the Jedi Redeemers. Lady Vorhn sought boldly for, and found the secret to immortality mastering both the light and the dark. Her path it is said was not a path of consumption, such as the Emperor Vitiate knew. Rather her presence was amplified within the netherworld of the Force due to the strength of her will. Death bolstered her, but life gave her form. From that place in the space between spaces, she remains.. eternally patient, a vigilant guardian, and she watches, always willing to guide those who would seek the path of the Awakening, the eternal way of the Alcari Redeemer that the Nintra tribe strove in vain to comprehend but fumbling in blindness and hatred never could fully master.
A tale may pause, and a story may end.. but every ending holds a new beginning as it's inverse. The teachings of both Darth and Ryuka tas Vorhn, the ebb and flow of the universe; the places of quiet learning, all yet remain. They await patiently for the day she returns. Whether through rebirth, transmigration of the soul, or perhaps her work carried on by one of her descendants. Perhaps these descendants live on among the stars even now.
One thing however is certain. Ryuka never fell. No, rather she transcended the bonds of this crude existence and truly lived.
It could be said that in the end, Vorhn surpassed even Revan. For her teachings and her path was a path that was ever a study of absolutes. When she went, she went, and when she fought, she fought wholly unfettered. Ryuka's spirit was one that was never divided, one that never waged internal war, or questioned the validity of her path. Her resolve to master a path that was neither Jedi nor Sith never wavered, but rather she grew from both disciplines into something more. It can be assumed that she lives on even now, eternally whispering softly her wisdom to those who would listen.
This is the PATH OF LAC'RYMA*. This is the way of the Force.
*-( Lac'ryma means "Shadow of Light" according to the Codex of Zhyr, which is written in the language of the Sith. It is assumed this term, like Darth is a title.)
