"Change the system? The system itself is already broken. What we need is a savior, someone to unite both sides and bring them together in a common purpose."
"And you think you'll be that man?"
"Think? I already know I will be."

Background:

Drasek Cale is regarded largely as a prodigy, though odd of sorts. Born to nobility of Baltimn, Cale was schooled from a young age in the arts of debate and politics, catching on rapidly with practically a genius intelligence. Before he could fully accept the responsibilities of his position, he was discovered to have a burgeoning command of the Force. As such, hoping for a future ally among the Jedi, Cale's family sent him to the Jedi to be trained. For many years he worked and studied the path of the Jedi, acting as a protector of the Republic and a champion against the Remnant. One could say his skill with words was only equaled by his skill with a blade and surgical precise use of the Force; often doing his best to disarm and capture the Remnant's soldiers in the hope that they might see the better way of life the Republic offered instead of the death that the Imperial Remnant so callously handed out so freely.

The murder of his family by an unknown perpetrator, though reports claimed it to be a being wielding a lightsaber, changed Cale. Dropping out of the Jedi Academy, Cale returned to his home, the last of his line to assume the title of Duke of Baltimn. He immersed himself in the School of Hidden Wisdom, which he reopened himself, though he was the lone practitioner of the knowledge that remained. It became, for all intents and purposes, his new home. Despite this odd behavior, Cale remained good friends and in good standing with Baltimn's Senator, as well as the heads of the various organizations on the planet. Nonetheless, there were differences from time to time; days and weeks when Cale would vanish and, by his own accounts, go traipsing around the galaxy to ease his mind.

It was shortly after these trips began that he issued an odd proclamation: that both Republic and Remnant soldiers, fleeing from battle, would be welcome to find refuge on Baltimn so long as they obeyed the laws and did not fight amongst themselves. To many, this decision seemed unwise, as Baltimn's standing in the Republic was sure to drop, yet the offer of a neutral ground that still aided the Republic, but offered a shelter for Remnant soldiers wishing to change sides, seemed as if it might work. In reality, though, the idea was but a cover for a much darker plan that was unfolding.

"It's a shame, really. Trust that I do not do this out of hate or anger. I do this out of compassion that you might become one with the Force... and that we might grow stronger by pruning away the weaker parts of the whole." - Atropos to Padawan Olos Tamnar (deceased)

Background:

Definition of multiple personality disorder: a dissociative disorder that is characterized by the presence of two or more distinct and complex identities or personality states each of which becomes dominant and controls behavior from time to time to the exclusion of the others.

Excerpt from definition of the Living Force: The Living Force was thought to be present in most living beings, surrounding and penetrating them, thus making all living things connected by it.

Definition of psychosis as per Science Dictionary: A mental state caused by psychiatric or organic illness, characterized by a loss of contact with reality and an inability to think rationally.

Atropos is everyone, everything. He is the dream of murder you have and wake from, feeling slightly uncomfortable. He is the jealousy you feel when you covet the possessions belonging to someone else. He is the anger you feel when you are wronged, that urge to strike out, to lash at the object or person that made you feel foolish, inadequate or afraid. He is the avenging demon that allows you to run faster, pump adrenaline and engage that famed fight-or-flight mode that prepares you to run or kill. He is, in short, the essence of all things gone horribly wrong. He is vengeance incarnate. He is anger personified; rage given form and freedom. The murderous evil without intent. Shapeless, waiting to be born.

Everyone, from the smallest Jawa to the highest Senator or Imperial Moff have their own personal Atropos. Yet they often hide this inner rage, letting it bottle up to vent at the rare occasions such as when intoxicated, stressed or just plain sick of the situations life has placed on their shoulders. Fortunately, this aspect only emerges in their character from time to time and is not a part of present day life.

The Jedi, however, are trained to let go of their anger. For some, such as the former Jedi Drasek Cale, this was a difficult task. Instead of letting go, Cale hid his anger away, not merely bottling it up, but going so far as to partition his mind, envisioning a locked vault into which he would place all of his anger and rage and upset at the varied wrongs he could not right within the galaxy. Unlike most sentient beings though, Cale was often in contact with the Force, something that permeated his every being. Unlike the Sith, he held his anger in. Unlike the Jedi, he did not let his anger go. Time passed.

In the darkness of that theoretical vault, the living Force had an impact on all those negative emotions and thoughts. It served to bring to life the stuff of nightmares. Atropos' birth was unlike that of any other being. He had no womb, unless one considered the vault as such. No, he was spawned into being by the Force and by anger. Time passed.

There have been stories of Force 'ghosts' and possessions. Exar Kun. Marka Ragnos. Kaan. Atropos was unlike any of them. He could not hop body to body, changing forms at will. Being part of Cale, he was still restricted in many ways to Cale's body, yet, with time, a subconscious exchange of control occurred. Atropos could inhabit and dominate the body from time to time, largely without Cale's knowledge. Treylon Voss suspected that Cale's conscious mind was hiding this fact from Cale himself and as such, revealed nothing. Then, the suit came along. Time passed.

Where Cale acquired the suit of armor, he could never quite remember. Whenever he wore it though, the malevolence that filled it shook him to his core. The suit though, became the face of Atropos. It became his sole connection to the world outside of Drasek Cale. Ominous. Fear-inducing. It was his vessel through and through. No matter where Cale stood in the galaxy, so long as the armor existed, Atropos could flee or enter it at any time. It was a refuge, for if Cale ceased to exist, Atropos would cease to exist... unless he could flee to the suit. If the suit were gone, likewise, he could not leave the body of Drasek Cale.

Now, though, there is a glimmer of hope. The Holocron of Darth Addendu...
