New from Ravak & Larben Droidworks and Foundry

Most droids these days fall into a few main categories. There are protocol droids, astromech droids, assassin droids. Well, let's face it: there are too many subtypes out there to list! There are even droids to clean your house and walk your younglings to school! Now, Ravak & Larben Enterprises is offering what may well be the most cost-efficient product on the market yet: a droid that is capable of all of the above items and more! We are proud to introduce an image of the Seraphim-class multipurpose droid.

:::: LOADING TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS ::::

Height: Varies from 6' to 6'5''
Gender Programming: Male
Sensor Color: White

The above-pictured Seraphim droid is capable of switching between any number of preset modules that govern its behavior depending on keywords used by the owner or by means of a remote system that is issued with each unit. Of course, factory-produced units do not include every module available. Certain units, such as the Home and House unit, come preset with a cooking, cleaning and childcare options. This is not to say that the droid cannot learn. Quite the contrary in fact, as the more time that each unit spends in a particular environment and module, the more data it will retain and hold for that particular module. As another case in point, the military version has an assassination subroutine, as well as a protocol subroutine. If a certain unit were to spend more time on the battlefield than in a protocol environment, it would therefore have more advanced combat skills than the same droid that served only in a protocol environment. Needless to say, droids that can learn are a large boon for any person or organization.

Seems reasonable to me. I vote to APPROVE. I actually thought this would be more involved, which is why I probably waited on posting on it for a couple days. Alas, I'm pleasantly surprised.

It probably will be more involved. Each droid model has different customizations, ranging from blaster cannons in the chest to fingertip guns. I'll provide stats as per model as they are ordered.

These customizations make me a bit uncomfortable, without further understanding of said possibilities I cannot and will not vote to approve. It seems to me that each individual classification and or customization needs be approved.

Vote: DENY

A rare vote to deny! Rare, I think, because usually when I deny something I tend to just politely discourage it until it goes away, lol. But in this case, I agree. I think my vote to approve wasn't really for the specific models (of course, these should be requested specifically), but since it was phrased as a concept I was more just approving of the concept and expecting further details to be approved/denied later, at least on the battle capable droids.

I would suggest then, to solve the difference of votes, that the concept itself doesn't really need to be requested (although I do like the sales pitch), however the specific customizations indeed should be. Does that work for everyone?

I also apologize if there are typos or just anything that's plain old incoherent in my posts tonight. It is 5 AM afterall, and I've not slept yet. And here I am, toiling away. I think I need a raise. Oh wait, I don't get paid. Rats.

That one works for me. I was hoping for the general design to be approved first and then any customizations on case-by-case basis.
