| Looks like everything's in order. Nicely done, as usual. I vote to APPROVE, pending just a word or two on the "RF Spike" and the "Deflection Inducer." I'm not familiar with these devices (I've also not heard of a "Tachyonic Collider" used in a Star Wars context, but I don't suppose that's really important to the overall request so I'm okay with that; unless there's anything worth noting about it?). | Few explanations: Deviating from the standard powerplant mode of most craft (since R&L are a tad different themselves), the tachyonic collider is based (roughly) off the following principle: tachyons are particles that move faster than light. The collider slows said particles and harnesses their energy. The collider doesn't provide as much power as some of the alternate R&L powerplants, but it's primary advantage that makes it popular is that it doesn't require any fuel. The RF Spike could be called a high energy radio frequency gun. It consists of a powerful capacitor and a linear antenna which generates a one-shot electromagnetic pulse that burns out the capacitor and its antenna, but causes serious EMP damage to the target. The EMP damage is roughly the same regardless of vessel size, though obviously larger ships will be less affected. The only way to reuse this weapon is to purchase a new system (from R&L, of course). The deflection inducer is a variation of particle and ray shielding that come standard on most R&L ships in keeping with what most of the galaxy enjoys. The inducer surrounds the ship in belts of gravitational energy intense enough to bend beam weapons away from the ship and stop projectiles. Of course, the more powerful the beam, the less likely it is to bend it away, so to speak. The amount of shots as well affect the effectiveness of the system.

| Interesting drawback for your design. It's essentially a massive single shot ion cannon correct? (Referring of course to the RF Spike). I have reservations as to the Tachyonic Collider, unless of course you are trying to infer that because it's output is significantly less than most powercores on vessels, the vessel itself would require either a larger powerplant, or multiple plants--thereby making it more vulnerable to the key system.

| I guess you could call it that, Echuu. It's as good a term as any, when it comes down to it. The collider does indeed require more than one unit, as is listed having two powerplants as opposed to the standard single unit in most ships.

| So, as I understand it, the deflection inducer is essentially just standard shielding? Now that you mention the collider, I'm reminded that I have, indeed, heard of it before. I have no problem with it, or the EMP. Jace Varitek

| It is indeed standard shielding, just using a different format of sorts than the particle/ray shielding common to the majority of Star Wars craft.

| Wait, I just read this again and I'm a bit confused. Your description of the deflection inducer is "a variation of particle and ray shielding," but most recently you've said it's "a different format of sorts than... particle/ray shielding." I'm confused, thus, whether it's something distinctly different from particle and ray shielding, or whether it's a type of particle and ray shielding? If it isn't traditional particle/ray shielding then I think I'd be quite against it, because I've never heard of anything substantively different from that setup in Star Wars and I don't want to introduce technologies into the RP that would render Star Wars weaponry useless. Even if that's not the case here, admitting one such technology, I feel, could be a slippery slope to more. And I apologize if I've misunderstood you.

| It is indeed different from particle and ray shielding. However, it doesn't render Star Wars weaponry useless. Say for example someone fires a single concussion missile at said shielded craft. Instead of hitting and draining shield energy, the projectile is stopped and destroyed by the shield, thereby expending power. It's a different form of shielding, but it does the exact same thing as particle and ray shield, just with a different method.

| I like it, and I don't like non-canon vessels usually but with this it seems to be limited in enough ways that I can see it being a good choise. Vote: Approve

| If it does exactly the same thing as particle and ray shielding, then is it fair to say it wouldn't make a difference to you either way if it was one or the other? If it accomplishes the same thing, I would prefer to be on the safe side and use Star Wars technology, so there are no surprises. Jace Varitek
