| This is a bad week for me apparently, already starting off. Contrary to Jamie's belief, my neighborhood lost power last night (sunday), due to some storms moving through. Nothing out of the ordinary for the midwest to be honest, it just happens from time to time. I think Jory can attest to this, being the only other midwesterner I believe in the RP. Well, this morning, we have something called a "bombogenesis" moving its way through. This is a fancy term, for a hurricane that has essentially formed over land, with opposite rotation, but similar effects. The storm system moving through, I'd say is comparable to... probably, a category 1 to 3? It has a pressure of 983 mB right now, probably going down to 958 mB by tomorrow. Not saying what it should be Thursday, I don't think they know yet how its going to act. We have a tornado watch right now out, but more or less what this amounts to it...I may or may not be able to use the internet, or anything else of civilization, for the next couple of days.

| The wind won't get up to hurricane strength, apparently. Sadly...

| I had a pair of ruby slippers once... those damned flying monkeys stole them.

| Lol, as I sit here, two possible tornadoes make their way to my lovely abode. Gotta love Illinois and our psychotic weather.

| Some people consider Ohio to be midwest....that being said.... I swear I saw a cow fly by my office window today because of the wind. And I did wear my red ballet flats to work today just in case. It was totally not pretty. And it's supposed to be worse tomorrow. Oz....here we come.

| Okay, Ohio is Midwestern, too. Didn't know you were there, Illanah. And yes, it is supposed to be worse tomorrow, but the separation between just being windy and really bad weather seems to be floating between the I-72 and I-80 corridors. I'm surprised that my power stayed solid all day, to be honest. Usually a fluttering leaf hitting the lines seems to be able to bring it down.

| We had flickering all day at the office....which is mildly terrifying when you already have a waiting room full of angry patients.... Coupled with the flying cows, of course.

| Meh, its the flying pigs you have to watch out for; they may be smaller but there are slipperly little buggers.

| Flying cows make the day interesting though. Flickering lights and angry patients do not.

| If pigs are flying, I suddenly have a lot of verbal contracts I have to keep.. For the record though, today was GLORIOUS in San Francisco. Not too warm, not too cold. Not a cloud in the sky or a gust in the air.. or a cow.
