Something I have noticed is that when things aren't going well (or in the direction they want) for people they often delay posting until the last day of their skip period.

This slows down RP and makes it difficult for those who actually want to RP to RP. This is especially the case when it is in major threads tying up multiple characters or planets (causing the "grand storyline" to grind to a halt).

Now, I don't want to name names, but its a trend I have noticed in multiple rpers. There is no advantage in delaying posting, it isn't going to change anything. Honestly, the best way to get out of bad situations is to come out fighting, rather than to hold things up.

To me, stringing it out and posting after three or three and a half days is just as bad as not posting (and just as irritating to those you are rping with), and is tantamount to inactivity. Everyone wants to RP in an active, healthy community, and this "drawing out" I've been seeing is not conducive to this.

If you honestly can't help it, or have genuine commitments or issues, sure - everyone will understand that. But if you have the time and are simply choosing not to post, then this applies to you, and it'd be good if those people just sat down and thought about their actions and the impacts of those actions on the RP of others and the comm generally.
