Leaving after Caluula

| After the whole Caluula FUBAR situation is finished up and wrapped up or whatever, I'll be leaving AGW until the 27th of February when school starts. I need more than just a couple days or weeks away from AGW at this point. Being here and having Jamie do nothing but constantly go after my characters has put me into a point where I cant have fun on AGW anymore. Seems like every time I try to get a thread going, I have to worry about Jamie pushing his face into it and claiming that he has a reason to be there.

| That's hardly fair! I created Caluula and RPed the locals there! I haven't done much at all except create an exciting new Storyline which has involved half a dozen RPers and given everyone the opportunity to have a big fun battle! Seems to me you need to be less negative!
Anyhow, it's your call - best of luck with school. If you want to go you're welcome to but there will always be a warm and friendly place here if you want it, that's something great I think about AGW, that noone takes any of the silly politics here seriously - it's just a game (sometimes a very difficult game, but still a challenging, fun and fascinating game) and I think that if you ever want to return there will be a "seat left at the table" for you.
I've taken whole worlds from Adam before! (Baltimn and Rinn) and we still cooperate happily over many things. I've taken Deralia off Jaron before, I slaughtered most of the people, chopped down the trees, melted the polar ice caps, flooded the world and then crashed the moon into it before selling it to the Empire as a dumping ground for waste! And still I am working constructively with Deralia now as Anaxes and Rothana. I have ruined Exar and taken Dantooine off him before, yet now I work with him well as General Eel.
I have had Alurion taken off me, I have had Vjun taken off me and slaughtered to a man, I've had all sorts of assets destroyed and lost and yet still we can look past the IC issues to work together next time - that is the strength of AGW, the fun of AGW, and why AGW is a place I enjoy writing.

| I can't blame you for wanting some time away, not from AGW per se but from some of the things that have gone on lately. I mean, yes, Caluula isn't part of the Mandate, isn't an attack on the Mandate or on Carl specifically, and it's something Robeir could have done nothing about and his approval rating still would have gone up (that and this very minor setback for the Mandate is nothing compared to, say, Deralia being destroyed and literally—literally, mind you—deluged with feces in 20 ABY). But sometimes it does kind of seem like "when it rains, it pours" in that people seem often, lately, to pile on someone when things aren't going well for them. I'm sympathetic to the points Jamie makes, and indeed Caluula is an event that's happening in the RP and it's understandable that members would gravitate towards it and become involved. But still, in the future I do think it'd be nice, if possible, if people didn't doggy pile—it's not fun for the person on the bottom who, btw, deserves half the credit for instigating the activity too.
I'm not really accusing anyone of this; I think it's something that tends to happen organically (it's part of people participating in an RP, and it is a game and in any game there are winners and losers). But it might be best to be considerate of it in the future. I'm not sure how, exactly.

| When I first Joined AGW, I think it was AGD, or something. Way back when MSN Chat groups were still around. anyways. My first week there, I made a bounty hunter and my character was killed, I went out provoking shit and what not.

| Let me put it bluntly. The only reason I'm leaving AGW is because of Jamie. For the entire time I've been here, it's been nothing more than having Jamie constantly harassing my characters and always going after them, making it so I constantly have to put up with Jamie and his BS and not get anything that I want to do, get done.

| The first time I RP was back in AGD days. I went through a lot of crap that newbies went through...got cuffed and had a Sith taste my blood, crashed a starfighter and got myself knocked out cold, failed to foil a terrorist with my Jedi character, also had my bounty hunter killed on the very first rp. The point was that, we all go through a lot of crap at some point and it wasn't personal for me. It was and still is only a game.
