A Rule for Participants of the Good Governance Forum

For those who are participating, please post here 2 to 3 weaknesses (or perceived weaknesses) of your planet's government or related to your government that we don't already know OOC. This is for the sake of discussion during the event, since our task IC is to argue for our governments, not against them, and weaknesses wouldn't be mentioned otherwise. Brentaal, for example:

- The people vote only for candidates put forth by the noble houses, which double as parliamentary-style political parties. There are no real political parties, discouraging turnout.

- The noble house that wins an election has near-absolute authority to appoint officials from the planetary level all the way down to the city level, limited only by voluntary power-sharing agreements with the other houses (not unlike a parliamentary "coalition," but more opaque and subject to change).

- Subsisting on tax revenue, Brentaal's government has been accused of discouraging private investment and expense of funds for expansions, hiring, etc.
