Oh right, I remember now. Might be time to re-read them.

Man, Myth, Administrative God. Also plays a mean kazoo.

Enough about those other shows. Back to Walking Dead. The little kid with the sheriff's hat is the sheriff's son, right? (I saw the first episodes and then stopped and forgot most of the characters. Saw the latest episode, though). The fact that the little kid failed to kill the zombie that ended up killing the old man, and that the little kid was enthusiastic for his dad to kill the other dude execution style, foreshadows either that the dude they don't kill is going to be a problem for them later or, alternatively, that the dude is totally innocent but the little kid's going to try to kill him anyway (the old man's death in this context symbolizing the death of society. Havoc—totally weird that you liked his death).

That said, I only saw some of that episode because someone else had it on the TV. I stopped watching the show after the first few episodes when some focus groups apparently told the producers that they liked the show's commentaries on human nature but thought it needed more entrails in it. It's become way too gory for me.

The only episode I saw was when they left the racist hick's brother to die or some shit.

The main cop guy annoys me, for some reason, makes the show un-watchable.

The main cop guy (Rick) I like him. He seems to struggle with 'doing what's right and what's necessary.'

The other dude they don't kill (Randall). He said that his gang is made up of 30, and that they basically rape all the women they find. He claims (which I believe) that he never participated, but he did make a side comment that the two girls (I think the last ones) were cute.
When Rick and Shane were going to drop him off, away from the farm. They all got surrounded by Walkers. Shane got himself trapped in a bus. Rick and the kid had a path out. The kid was quick to say "let's leave him and get out." I would not want that type of person watching my back. It's only a matter of time before the gang catches up with them. With or without killing the kid. They don't have the man power to compete with 30. They need to just leave the farm.

I agree about your thoughts on the old man (Dale). He was their link to humanity. I think Daryl hit it on the head that their group is broken. They need to adapt to how the world has changed. They need to find that balance.

The little kid, Carl, he's growing up in tough place. With that, he's become colder. Almost has Shane's mindset. I think his mother needs to watch him more. Who let's their kid out of their sight when an execution is going on?

Also. The guy they chained on the roof? Is Merle. Daryls brother (Daryl is the hottie from Boondock Saints). I think Merle might be apart of this 'gang.'
