| I've noticed a lot of debates about 'reinforcements showing up so quickly' in certain posts by more than one member, especially in the past. To that end, I've discovered a slightly helpful tool that may assist people (and management). It's not complete, unfortunately, but it works for most major areas.
Astrogation Computer. Let me know what you all think of it, as I may begin utilizing it myself.

| Helpful, yes. Official? Personally, I'd say no. The fact that this website can't change is that sources contradict one another (wildly) on hyperspace transit times. Consider, let's say, this site's transit time from Coruscant (Core) to Eriadu (Outer Rim). It's about 5 days. Yet, take one of many sources, let's say Vector Prime, which states that a shorter trip—Coruscant (Core) to Reecee (Mid Rim, and not far from the Core, actually)—takes two weeks. Then there's the very problematic maps of the Kathol Sector. It's a fool's errand to reconcile all these sources. But it's also not useful to go with the canon transit times when they're so contradictory.
I was talking to either Karth or Jaron about this just the other night, that what we've generally done is split the difference as best we can between the various sources (with an allowance for faster travel on hyperspace routes). But I'm firmly of the belief that it's best not to have a quantified standard—this square just can't be circled. Ideally, the participants in a thread can just agree on how long a trip would take. If not, management can arbitrate as it does in any other dispute. Seems to me that's the most judicious way to handle it. After all, I only recall this being a problem on one occasion in the last 3 years.
