Bad News

| So, as a couple of you know, I've planned to go out of town for 5 days beginning on Thursday. I'm visiting my dad, who, I just learned, has doubled down on his luddism and canceled his old Dial Up internet entirely. I had thought I'd be able to post quite a lot up there, with nothing else to do most of the time. But without internet, it seems I'll have nothing to do, period (other than, you know, reading and thinking and stuff). And it's possible I won't be able to post for any and all of these 5 days.
I'll bring my laptop with me, but I sincerely doubt there's a wifi hotspot anywhere in the whole town I'm going to. It'd also be rude to sneak off to a hotspot with my laptop while I'm supposedly visiting my dad. But you never know, I might manage to get online here or there. We'll see.

| Also, it's been a real grind at work these last few days as I've had to work every day in advance of this time off. Hence the general lack of posts from me lately or even being too tired to be online at all one or more of these last nights. Unfortunately, this will resume for at least a week after I get back from this (unpaid) "vacation" as I make up the days I was gone.

| I just learned there's Wifi at the Burger King in that town. Jesus.
There's no way I'm going to park my laptop in a Burger King.
Although I hear exciting things are happening at Burger King these days.
