| So I start a new job tomorrow as a manager. I haven't done this before and don't know how. What's worse, if you think AGW has personality conflicts now and then between, say, Jamie and Carl, or Adam and Carl, or Tremaine and Carl, or Havoc and everyone, etc., apparently the occasional dysfunction of our AGW family has nothing on this new place. The manager I'm replacing, who I was told was on disability leave, is, in fact, on stress leave (apparently, her stress "disabled" her). And half of the employees have either quit or threatened to quit. If I've learned anything as a manager of AGW for all these years, it's time for me to put it to RL use. Wish me luck.
The reason I mention this, however, is to let you know this is obviously going to be time-consuming for me, especially at first. I'm worried less about the personality conflicts than I am about learning how to run the place while dealing with personality conflicts. We'll see how it goes, and I'll know more as the week goes on, but I should let you know I may be delayed a bit in my posts this week.

| Thanks. And indeed, I did. But now I can actually say for real, "My work here is done."
That is, the real manager I was filling in for came back sooner than anyone expected, so, mission accomplished (that is, I made it a week without screwing anything up—and the employees loved me so much one of them is quitting now that the old manager is coming back).
So it's back to my old job (for now). And back to posting more.
