Bounty Hunter Captures Jedi on Nar Shaddaa
Nar Shaddaa, "Hutt Space" — The Empire has confirmed to INN that an individual who witnesses described as a "Jedi" and who was involved in a barfight in the Refugee Sector of Nar Shaddaa last month was indeed a Jedi, identified as Jed Dexier, and that payment has been made to a bounty hunter for the delivery of Dexier to Imperial custody. This is the second high profile capture of a Jedi fugitive in three days, as Imperial forces apprehended Kenas Annig on Imperial Center on Taungsday.
His Excellency, Sate Pestage, aide to Emperor Palpatine and the Grand Vizier of the Empire, praised what he referred to as "the Empire's continued success in defending its people and planets from the remaining Jedi who, though fewer now in number, are no less dangerous." His Excellency added that "the Emperor is determined to rid each and every fetid hole of the Jedi who may be hiding there," and appealed to the people to cooperate with Imperial authorities and report any and all suspected Jedi.
Jed Dexier was seen last month consuming large amounts of alcohol in a bar on Nar Shaddaa and proceeding to murder several of its patrons in a drunken frenzy that sent frightened bystanders running from the bar and into the street. He and a Wookiee accomplice shot or dismembered several innocent Trandoshans and a Rodian before fleeing the scene of the crime. Several Humans were also destroyed in a concussion blast fired at Dexier, but which the Jedi deflected at random bystanders with his lightsaber, a barbaric Jedi weapon.
The barfight occurred in the Refugee Sector of Nar Shaddaa, a well known refuge for lowlifes of various kinds including, apparently, Jedi fugitives.
Imperial authorities have told INN that an intrepid bounty hunter—one of many to pursue Dexier as he fled the scene—captured the murderous Jedi and, in the month since, delivered him from "Hutt Space" and into the Empire's custody. A bounty of 25 million credits has been issued for the capture of any Jedi, and authorities confirmed that a payment to the bounty hunter in this amount had been authorized.
With the capture this week of Dexier and Annig, there are ever fewer Jedi left to menace the good people of the Empire. INN celebrates this and joins with all peace loving people in looking forward to a galaxy without the queer codes of the Jedi to darken the minds of men and deprave the innocent children of this fine Empire.
