How they met: Unknown to both of them, they were betrothed from the time of Amneris' birth. Their parents were old friends and decided that a marriage between the two was the best way to unite the two families. Of course, they made an agreement that if they pair did not like each other, then the arrangement would be voided.

Amneris did not actually even meet Zarcaine until she was sixteen, and for the following two years, the pair had supervised meetings and attended social events only. When she turned eighteen, the legal age on Chandaar, she and Zarcaine were married. Happily married.

He is fiercely protective of her and shelters her from the world as much as he can. So much so that when he was made Senator of the Cronese Mandate, he did not take her to Coruscant with him because of his desire to keep her safe.

Personality

Amneris is very quiet and shy. She is reserved and does not speak up on anything unless asked. That is not to say that she does not have opinions or an education, only that she does not like to force her opinions on anyone. Much of her childhood was busy, her mother making sure that she attended music lessons (piano and violin), dance lessons (social ballroom and ballet), and of course keeping good marks in school.

She had few friends in the private girls school that she attended, most of them being the children of her parents friends. Social gatherings occurred only on the weekends, usually Saturday afternoons for tea or perhaps a small party in the evenings.
