Personality:

Qual is charismatic, intelligent and cold. He doesnt open up to many, yet how he speaks to people often moves them to action. He avoids the normal questioning of ones honor, or cowardice and treats those he deals with as actual beings, making him a rarity in the criminal underworld. Yet he can also be cold to those that cross him, or plan to. Often shunning them, exiling them from his ventures, to out right killing them for their actions.

Bio:
Much of any kind of history of Qual is unknown. His exact species has never been located, making many believe he is the only one of his species, or a genetic mutation of another aquatic species. Much of his life has been spent in the shadows, using his charisma and intelligence to move other criminal organizations into proper places before setting them against one another. Always coming out on top in the end with less rivals and more credits.

(Added by request from Jace) During the Clone Wars, Qual ran weapons for the GAR in the beginning months of the War when the Galactic Republic was outnumbered by the CIS forces backed by the large Corporations that formed the CIS. During the war Qual gathered large amounts of credits for running much needed supplies for the GAR at the out break of the war. He became friends with many of the officers in charge of the supplies, and often would be given a glimpse of a few of the CIS weapons that were captured by the GAR. It was one of these trips when he bribed an Officer as well as a book keeper to alter the ledger, and allowed Qual to get away with a nuke and three Hex Missiles captured by the CIS.
