Information: Baldrick Kane is a Jedi Master not well known to other Jedi of his era. A severe man and a fanatical devotee of the Jedi Code, he often clashed with the Council, which he considered too lenient. Though he had a long, respected career with the Jedi Order in which he distinguished himself in the Stark Hyperspace War and the Kol Huro conflict, he spent much of the Clone Wars on mandatory leave because of "paranoid delusions" about the Old Republic's clone troopers betraying him. However, his absence from Coruscant and theaters of the war at the time of Order 66, and his refusal to attend the Conclave at Kessel later that year, assured his survival of the "Jedi Purge." He remained in hiding until 10 BBY, when, for reasons unknown, he emerged from seclusion and began seeking out what few Jedi remain.
