History
Formed after the organization of the Imperial Army in the founding days of the Empire, on the day of the operation against Queen Apailana and her government on Naboo. It's initial operations were solely focused in the invasion and occupation of Dantooine, with it being a majority of the Army's casualties suffered due to it's forces being attached to Stormtrooper units in the fighting.
Upon recovery, the 159th was deployed to Renatasia. Due to it's shown capability in light infantry operations, it was once more detached and operating in conjunction with Stormtrooper units. Unlike Dantooine, this would end in the virtual annihilation of the division through atrition by the end of the campaign.
After a year of rebuilding by combining several units whose superior units were dismantled, and a combination of recruitment and conscription, the 159th, now under the command of Brigadier General Marcus Aurelius, who had gained a reputation as a no-non-sense commander who worked every unit under his command into elite shape, was deployed in the Subjugation of Dressel. After performing flawlessly, it returned to its base on Borosk. Following a couple of months, it began a transition into being the new garrison unit on Naboo. It is currently in the process of transferring its flag from Borosk to Naboo.
