I refer Senator Lohden to my previous comments regarding retaking the Course in the event of failure.

Exams wouldn't just be on paper, obviously they'd test a variety of skills as are tested in the Imperial Military Commissioning Exams... These include written and practical elements.

Planetary Militaries are already Auxilliaries to the Imperial Military as of the passing of the Capital Ships Act. This act simply assures they are equipped with suitable training to allow efficient cooperation with the Regular Military.

I see no reason to compromise on this legislation and so allow standards to slip.

Bernard Oriel
Senator for the Planet of Vjun
1st Earl Malreaux (Second Creation)
Vjun Delegation to the Imperial Senate

As per your further explanation on the matter, I concur that compromise is not necessary. Now that the definitions are clear, Kaal will vote in favour, however tentatively and reservedly we choose to do so.

Senator, if I may just suggest this:

Anyone whom is considered a failure be dropped from the course all together. Money cannot be wasted on those that do not have a driving passion for their rank and respective courses. It is also an embarrassment not only to the individual, but to his family and friends as well to allow him to keep attempting and wasting time and money. I would suggest that an alternate selection be open to the individual.

This measure's passage seems assured. However, Senator Ray's proposed amendment has yet to be addressed. Senator Oriel, if you please?

Senator Ray. While I broadly agree, should the individual be the best a world has, options should remain open for retaking the course.
