The Internal Activities Committee is in favor of this legislation. I believe on the matter of Article 2, the Internal Activities Committee can create a subcommittee to oversee this legislation; something for you to consider Senator Ryuun. Regardless, I vote In Favor.

The Honorable R.C.W. North
Senator of Imperial Center
Chairman of the Internal Activities Committee

Mayor of the Galactic/Imperial City (22 BBY-18 BBY)

I applaud Senator Ryuun's proposal for its targeting of a most poignant form of corruption and graft: the bribery of Senators through channels of governmental authority. It is very much a disgrace for both a senator illicitly taking money from people with a conflict of interests and government employees for donating monies in the first place. Commenor wholeheartedly votes in favor of this act with all attached amendments.

Ronsard Entrente

Senator of Commenor
Ranking Member, Commerce Committee

I vote against.

I also propose an amendment: "Senators representing Outer Rim sector capital worlds with populations of 22 billion or higher shall receive a 30% pay increase effective immediately"

Johannes Oswaldt
Senator and Governor of Eriadu

I must refuse, Chairman, to accept Governor Oswaldt's amendment. It is far too high a number and the pay of a senator is not at stake here.

Lomen Ryuun
Senator, Doldur Sector
Senator, Druckenwell
Representative, Monor II (10 BBY - 9 BBY)
Representative, Geridard
Representative, Boranall
Representative, Therenor Prime
Vice-chairman, Defense Committee (Temporarily suspended)
Controlling Shareholder - Druckenwell Arms Corporation

The pay of senators is at stake here. If you don't want them to take bribes you need to pay them enough. Thats a fact.

Senator and Governor of Eriadu

So ordered, the Governor's amendment is not agreed. With that, the measure passes with 91% in favor and 9% opposed. Thank you, Senator Ryuun, for proposing a measure that I do not doubt will assure the integrity of the Empire and its officials. Let us not fall victim to the same corruption that was the undoing of the Old Republic.

Grand Vizier of the Empire
Assistant to Emperor Palpatine
Chair of the Imperial Senate
