| Gentlemen, I am pleased to be here today having been elected by the Electoral Council of Alsakan to the position of Senator for that Ancient and Honourable world. Our former member has opted to retire after a long and distinguished career in the Senate, and I look forward to representing the interests of my world and the Interests of the Empire during my tenure. I have been a member of the Imperial Party of Alsakan and have been a member of COMPNOR for the last 9 years. In my professional career I have worked in the Alsakan Foreign Office since I graduated from the University of the Core Worlds with my initial degree. I have worked my way up through the diplomatic service as a civil servant before deciding to enter politics. I have served the last two years as Lord of the Foreign Office of Alsakan. As a career diplomat, I feel that my skills in negotiation and mediation, in addition to my extensive diplomatic contacts which render me the most qualified Senator to represent my world.

| All Alsakan has ever done is beg for everyone's scraps and attempt to rape, pillage, and plunder Coruscant when we have dedicated ourselves to endeavors that take us away from our world to do actual good in the Galaxy. I'm sure we can expect the same untrustworthy, two-faced, dishonorable actions in the Senate. They are a lot of Rimworlders trying, and failing miserably, to be a Core World. Remember that, Senator Ordan. Personally, I think Coruscant should raise its own forces, and take Alsakan for itself and enslave these lesser men. It would save us all, a lot of trouble. So, tell me, why should the dog of the Core World family be given a voice at the table? Will you actually be loyal to the Emperor, or just yourselves? Do you know anything of honor, or will you be one of the dissenters in this chamber?

| Senator North.. this is not three thousand years ago.. No one from Alsakan has taken up arms in this conflict for over thirty centuries, the Alsakan-Coruscant conflicts happened three thousand years ago, and there has been no violence since. I think it is, frankly offensive that the Senator from Coruscant is questioning my and my worlds loyalty on this basis. We have ever been an Imperial Loyalist world, and a world loyal to the Republic throughout the clone wars. To answer your question, Alsakan is not, and does not wish to be a part of any ancient trans-generational internecine feud. This is the Empire, Senator North, not the Republic. I don't see why you would mention the possibility of, yet alone call for a conflict here in the core.. Was not enough blood been shed in the 14,000 years of war between our worlds? Has not too much been lost? Are we not better co-existing, if not as friends then as neighbours? Stepping forward into the bright era of Imperial Governance.. rather than back into the darker days of the Republic?

I was testing you, to see if you could handle harsh words and someone focused on affairs of long ago. While I am above such things, other members of this body are not.
