Greetings Senate,

I am pleased to announce that Citadel Station will transform into one large museum. The Telosian Government, with consent of Telosian Security Forces, decided it was time to modernize the planetary defense. We have decided to mark the Citadel Station as a historic site. An entire history of Telos IV will be displayed there. Statues of famous figures in Telosian history would be displayed as well. The statues displayed would be Admiral Carth Onasi for his actions against the Mandalorians and the Sith during Mandalorian Wars, Jedi Civil War, and Dark Wars. Lieutenant Grenn for his heroism in leading the planetary defense against the Sith during Battle of Telos IV in Dark Wars. Chodo Habat for the restoration efforts to revive Telos IV during the same period.

I will be sending out invitations for the Grand Opening of the newly historical site soon. Any contributions to the reformation would greatly be appreciated.

I'm pleased to hear this. Most of you are probably unaware that I was a royal archivist on Naboo prior to being Senator, and I have an appreciation for and indeed an interest in history. The Citadel Station on Telos IV is an obscure, but important historical site and designating it as such is the right thing to do. I hope that, in doing so, awareness of Mandalorian War and Jedi Civil War eras will be raised—there are lessons from this era that are relevant to us today. Naboo will spare what it can for renovations that are necessary to make the Citadel open to the public, and I will look forward to visiting it when indeed it is open.

What is this place? Who are any of these people and why should I care? The Empire has changed the nature of war and put an end to religious wars altogether, honestly I don't see how any of this ancient history is "relevant" to us. Aren't these just some of the many unnecessary wars that the Jedi pulled the Old Republic into for some religious reason or other? Doesn't sound like it's worth honoring to me.

Representative Vanden,

Thank you for your kind gesture. While many in the Empire do not know the true significance of history, I do have to agree with you that history does play a pivotal role in our everyday lives. You are correct in assuming that some of the lessons from Mandalorian Wars and Jedi Civil War eras are relevant to us today, more than most of people would know.

Senator Oswaldt,

It please me to have a rare opportunity to educate the Senate in the arts of history. Mandalorian Wars was started by a group of Mandalorian warriors, they went on to invade the planets outside the Republic's jurisdiction in the Outer Rim. The Senate debated and debated, but chose not to intervene as the Outer Rim burned. But when the Mandalorians invaded three adjacent sectors under the Republic, the Senate had no choice but to intervene. They asked the Jedi Council for aid, but they wanted to be cautious and let the Outer Rim burn. Eventually, a sect of the Jedi Order under the leadership of Revan and Malak rebelled and joined the Republic. At first, things were bad for the Republic. Mandalorians were this close to victory, but everything changed when Revan took charge of things. He was a brilliant tactician and strategist, he met Mandalorians' aggression with a viciousness of his own. The Mandalorians began to be pushed back, away from Concord Dawn. From Dxun, and eventually from Mandalore itself. The Mandalorians were eventually defeated in a terrible battle known as Malachor V.

Revan and his own fleet left the known space and disappeared for a year. That was when he returned with a conquering fleet under the Sith Empire. He became a Dark Lord of the Sith. The Sith went on to wreak havoc in the galaxy, but of course they were eventually defeated by the Jedi Order that weren't involved in the Mandalorian Wars. Telos IV played an important role for the Republic in both wars, and actions of those heroes made it possible for the Republic to keep a stronghold in the Outer Rim. If that had not happened, the present could have been very different.

Another lesson here is that many people, as during that period, nowadays don't really see the differences between the Jedi and Sith. They look at both groups as Jedi with philosophical differences. Those are people that do not understand the differences, and we should educate them.

Does anyone really care? I mean I respect history to an extent (being a noted historian in the Core) but I feel navel gazing can go to an extreme.

What tangible benefits for the Empire would the Empire funding a restoration of this station around your own world provide?

It is not a benefit for the Empire, it is a benefit for the government of Telos IV. My people are the one funding the restoration of Citadel Station, and I am spearheading the efforts. History is important, especially to the Telosians. The history of Telos IV marked a history of adversity, one that the Telosians are proven well at overcoming. This is a proud history of my people, and it should be honored properly.

If the Empire wants to make a generous contributions to the efforts, don't let me stop them. But for the Empire to fund this, they are not. It is Telos IV that will fund this, with some contributions of course.

They say and I quote "the one who does not remember history is bound to live through it again" I am happy to hear of this. Last thing we need is a group of barbarians killing innocents.... Senator Fowlkes, I am going to check with the Anobis if we have enough funds, I'll see to it that you receive some of them.
