| Senators,
Praesitlyn has been assaulted by forces most foul once again. I have received word that a surprise attack by vessels of power and with large numbers for such a raiding band struck at Praesitlyn, only to be surprised by Sluis Sector Defense Forces stationed there for a ceremony in which a pair of patrol craft were meant to be dedicated to Praesitlyn. Despite the loss of eighteen brave human and Sluissi lives, the pirates were driven from the system. Their deaths were not in vain though; one of the pirate vessels and its crew were captured and even now are being brought to Sluis Van for interrogation to find the reasoning behind this second attack. It is felt at this time that the two attacks are linked; Praesitlyn is not a wealthy enough world for raiders to come and attempt to gain credits by robbing wealthy banks and the like. Rest assured, Senators, we will find the culprits.

| Let the record show that Brentaal's encampment on Praesitlyn provided logistical assistance to the Sluissi forces in combating these pirates. And they do appear to be pirates, hired by someone to raid Praesitlyn and kill as many innocent people as possible. I agree with Senator Domon, the perpetrator of the first attack was probably a pirate too, and hired by the same someone. As Mr. Thisst's investigation into the first incident on Praesitlyn has not discovered who was behind it, let us hope the questioning of the pirates he has captured this time will uncover the finances behind these attacks and reveal who is truly responsible.

| Indeed, Brentaal's Arquetins cruiser provided some rather useful data, though we are glad they did not join the fight. Even though short, it was terribly brutal, and their ship was not heavily armed enough to combat the threat. Nonetheless, they provided a good source of support if needed. Incidentally, Senator Cambrist, Khedive Thisst has requested a member of Brentaal's interrogation team to be present at the interrogation of these pirates. After all, both Sluis Van and Brentaal were wronged by their actions; it is only just that we come together to see this to a close.
