| The Galactic Empire now has an increasing number of non-Clone personnel, and I believe it time that we turned to the issue of protecting these boys in Grey who serve so long and so hard to protect us.
The Veterans Act
Thus I propose we form the Service Personnel and Veterans Agency. As Head of the Agency I propose the retired ex-Senator, Titus Veritas.
The Service Personnel and Veterans Agency will be given the objectives of:
- Disseminating information regarding readjustment to civilian life to servicemen leaving the military.
- Assisting legitimate pension or benefits claims by active or former servicemen, their spouses and families.
- Providing funding for medical care for injuries incurred during military service.
- Providing assistance with paperwork and resettlement for Veterans.
- Providing a no-cost resettlement service for people leaving the military, in addition assistance job finding, filing taxes and other employment support services for two years after discharge.
- Coordinating with local governments and charities to assure fair and equitable treatment of Veterans and their families.
- For advice, support and assistance about housing and homelessness.
These complex means will be pursued mainly via a comprehensive holo-site rather than multiple offices or impractical means.
The Service Personnel and Veterans Agency would be based on Anaxes, to allow maximum communication with the relevant parts of the Imperial Military.
The Service Personnel and Veterans Agency would draw it's budget from a tax to be levied on the production of "high-technology" totalling 0.005%, to be collected along with standard Imperial Taxes then being credited to the Service Personnel and Veterans Agency.
The formation of the agency, it's shape and form will be left down to the nominated head, Lord Titus Veritas, or whoever is appointed to the agency.

| I expect this bill to assume additional magnitudes of importance as recruiting into the Stormtrooper Corps begins in the coming months. But with most of the Imperial Army comprised of recruits already, why wait? I vote in favor, and praise Senator Oriel for his continued interest in the defense of the Empire and its worlds and those who provide this service for us.
