I admire your diligence on this issue. The Empire, too, has been diligent. Imperial worlds have been generous in their contributions of relief supplies, and Governor Manning of Chad has assured the distribution of these supplies to those on his world who need them (and deserve them) the most. While it appears that there has been irreparable damage to the Chadra Fan population and culture, we can breathe a sigh of relief that at least the human population of Chad appears to have weathered the disaster on that planet with few casualties (fewer than 200) and little damage (some water damage, loose moorings, etc. Nothing serious). Governor Manning has already put together a relief fund with financial contributions from Imperial worlds—the credits from this fund will be used primarily for the repair of the so called "barge cities" of Chad, to reinforce breakers, etc. to protect them from similar disasters in the future. We owe it to the human population of that world to be certain this doesn't happen to them again.

I'm afraid I'm not sure what else remains to be done, Senator. But you are of course welcome to visit the world and tour the progress that has been made. I think you will be satisfied.
