Recently there have come questions as to why Moff Cole sent his own ships from his Sector to the planet of Alurion. While the Grand Vizier has reassured that he is being dealt with and questioned, I am requesting you open an investigation. I want you to find out why Cole ordered his ships to the planet of Alurion. I also want a record of his Sectors Fleet as to understand if he has more ships under his command than he should as a reason to why he sent his own to Alurion. When this is finished you will not send the report to your superiors, you will privately send it to me, along with the list of the Sectors Fleet. Do this and I'll put my backing to ensure your promotion. I'm sure that you would like the ring that Captain Carson Rice has.

You flatter me with your offer, however this is a serious breach of protocol, Your Excellency. You are not within ISB or COMPNOR command structure, and have no authority over me... nor any sort of leverage or control in my promotion. To be honest, I don't know why you give a damn about Alurion, nor do I know why Cole gives a damn. I don't know why you are also supporting a known seditious Senator with insurgent sympathies, despite being your nephew-in-law, nor why you are lobbying every Senator possible to allow yourself to speak in the Senate. I don't know why, either, you have committed a shocking amount of financial capital in procuring several companies over the past couple of weeks for yourself rather than nationalizing them so that the entire Empire can benefit from them. There is no logical reason for any of these actions, nor your apparent feud with Moff Cole. I will be blunt, however... it is extremely stupid to attempt to bribe an ISB agent, and your recent actions will be brought to the attention of my superiors. There is no bribe in my words, merely a promise of my backing for your advance, and I'm sure that you can see, if you decide to look in the records of the purchases of these companies is done so out of my own pocket. As for the lobbying to speak in the Senate, it is merely to bring attention to a situation that is quickly coming out of hand and making things worse, rather than accomplishing anything. It is however reason enough to speak up to try and come to a finish for this. I understand and respect your next actions to contact your superiors, yet they will see that there is nothing wrong in the simple message to request the reasons and actions as to why a Moff broke protocol and sent his ships in what seems like an attempt to expand his authority into another Sector.
