Senator,

I have been informed of your interest in chairing the new Ethics Committee in the Senate, and you will be pleased to know that I have persuaded the Ruling Council to endorse you to His Majesty, who respects the deliberations of the Council and, no doubt, will oblige them. There is a condition, however. Governor Oswaldt has been a reliable supporter of His Majesty's agenda in the Senate and the Council would like to reward him for this support (or, at least, not feel marginalized). Thus, the appointment as chair of the Ethics Committee is yours if you appoint Governor Oswaldt as a member of the Committee, too. I would be grateful if you were to get in contact with the Governor and assure his participation ahead of time; the announcement of your appointment will be made once this assurance is received.

Congratulations, Senator Youngblood. You have a reputation for being thoughtful and impartial on Senate business, and I have no doubt that you'll make a fine chairman of the Ethics Committee. I hope to hear from you quite soon, so that the announcement can be made.

Dear Grand Vizier.

I thank you for the vote of confidence, and I also thank the Ruling Council, and His Majesty, Emperor Palpatine for entrusting me with such a task, I will preform it to the best of my ability. And as far as it goes for Governor Oswaldt, He is a fine man, we may have different point of view's on thing's but that is what makes our galaxy and Imperial Senate great, he stand's strong by what he believes in, in which I can say I honestly admire. Anyways, I'd be delighted to have him serve as a member. I will be sure to send Governor Oswaldt a letter. Once he replies to me I'll be sure to send you a copy of the message I receive from him.

Grand Vizier, I've contacted the Governor as you asked me to, offered him a seat in the Ethic's committee, and he gladly accepted. I would also like to appoint Senator Ordan, a chair. I shall talk to other senator's I feel that are capable to be within the committee, and ask if they would be interested. Again, I thank you, the ruling council and His Majesty for the opportunity.
