Dear Governor, I've received a letter from our great Chairman Sate Pestage. The letter read, and I quote.
"Senator, I have been informed of your interest in chairing the new Ethics Committee in the Senate, and you will be pleased to know that I have persuaded the Ruling Council to endorse you to His Majesty, who respects the deliberations of the Council and, no doubt, will oblige them. Congratulations, Senator Youngblood. You have a reputation for being thoughtful and impartial on Senate business, and I have no doubt that you'll make a fine chairman of the Ethics Committee. I hope to hear from you quite soon, so that the announcement can be made."
I also have the ability to pick Senator's of our fine Senate to join the Committee, and Governor I'll be frank. I admire your courage, your commitment, and your honor to stand by what you believe in, and I would be honored if you would serve as a member of the Ethic's Committee. | Thanks for your words of support Senator. I'm disappointed it wasn't me but you're as fine a choice as any man I suppose. I appreciate the appointment and I'll do it if Burt Ordan is appointed too. He has the surest moral compass of any man I know and he's someone I can work with. Deal?
