A contract to the current member's of the ethic's committee.

To: Illanah Thanatos, Hubert Ordan, Johannes Oswaldt.
Subject: Contract.
After a recent thought about the subject of ethic's and how they can effect people. I have decided to write up a contract for you all to sign, and for our newer member to sign, who will sign it after you all sign it.
The contract will be a 3 strikes policy, for any rude attack's on ones ethical opinion, and ones beliefs. With one warning.
It will be a Warning.
First strike.
Second strike, with a 24 hour suspension from the committee,
Third strike, you will be removed from the committee, and your place will be filled by a senator that is equally qualified as you were.
The contract reads.
"I (Insert Name here), valued member of the Imperial Senate Ethic's Committee (ISEC), hereby promise to be Ethical to any topic brought forth. Truthful in what your beliefs are. As well as respectful to my fellow member's beliefs."
I have sent an offer to Senator Tremaine Fowlkes, He will reply to my offer if you three sign this, he brought it to my attention and I believe it is a fair contract, if you have anything to add, please bring it forward.
I have signed it myself, if I fail to uphold my responsibilities as chairman. I will step down, the committee will be put on hold until we can get a new chairman, that his majesty him-self chooses.

| I vote against this. Its unrealistic to expect us respect everyone's beliefs. Respect everyone, sure.. That's what the Senate rules say. But their beliefs? No, that's silly. I also vote against the appointment of Ilanah until the committee has discussed it. In the meantime I suggest we get to work gentlemen, the censure of Senator Zarcaine has been refered to us I vote in favor of endorsing it.

| We will discuss the contract, as a committee, That was just a rough draft. AS for the senator's I have chosen. It is my choice. On who will be most ethical.
Now, to the Zarcaine matter. I agree with several people. He shouldn't be expelled, but censured for his words against our fine empire. But also with his apology out their, I will save my vote until everyone votes. To me, the man deserves a second chance, my good men. I am sure you all would like a second chance of a motion to censure was brought up to you.

| I prefer Senator Thanatos, Governor Oswaldt.
And I was under the impression that the appointment of senators to this committee was at the discretion of the chair. I understand that Senator Fowlkes.and I do not always agree with you, Governor, but diversity is key in the success of this committee.
Senator Youngblood, I trust you will contact me once you have come to a decision?

| Senator Thanatos, I will indeed, and you are quite right. Senators are appointed by me, who I feel would be a good addition to the board. So you can count your self in.

I agree with you on Senator Kuriyoshi. Everyone deserves a second chance. He apologized. I am sure he will not step out of line again. Should he, at that time a decision regarding his fate in the senate can be decided.

| Excuse me, no. Senator Thanatos you are quite wrong and so are you Anobis. Is this a committee or isnt it? Do we vote on things or don't we? You appointed 2 members of the committee, that makes 3 so now we have a majority, so now we can vote on things and I still vote [b]against[/]b Ilanah and I demand she be excluded from this discussion. Its for members only. And frankly Anobis I don't like you editing your words after youve said them to me so they mean something else. Saying the members will be consulted then saying we wont be consulted.. thats not how a chairman should act and if it keeps up i'm proposing a vote of no confidence in you as chairman. Now as for the censure its not like we're pantsing Zarcaine here. A Censure is a statement of disapproval of something he did.. If you disapprove of what he did you vote for the censure, its simple as that. The apology is nice, means he doesnt need to be suspended. Censured? Yes.. he can't unsay what he said.

| Senator Youngblood, I was under the impression that you asked Senator Fowlkes to join the committee as well...if he accepted...shouldn't he be included in this discussion as well? That would make five, which also makes a majority by my count.
But I suppose that since Senator, wait, I mean Governor Oswaldt sees his opinion as the only one here, only his vote should count. Some committee that is.

| I'm calling for a vote and somehow that means I'm just trying to get my way? I'm calling for a vote, people. This is a committee. Slai Fon is the one who's trying to wear it like a tailored suit and treat it like only his vote counts. So excuse me, lady.. I'm not going to be talked to like that. I have nothing against you.. I have a problem with Slai Fon lying to me and changing his words after the fact, and trying to force these rules and appointments through the committee without a vote like no one elses opinion matters. Thats not "country", Slai Fon. And its not right. "Oh no, Joe can't be chairman because he'll force all his opinions through the committee!" Yep, its happening.. oh but look, Joe's not the one doing it. Is anyone going to apologize to me? I doubt it. You all talk about "respect" and I'm the most disrespected person here.

| I do not disrespect you, Governor. Nor do I care what most of the other Senator's think about you. Like I said in the letter I sent you, I respect you standing up to your words. I'm sorry if you feel the way you do, but it isn't true. Also, I've heard a few rumor's, but rumor's are nasty things.
If you have a problem with the way I appoint people into this committee, you can take it up with The Grand Vizier. I am doing my obligated duty, the power to appoint senator's I feel right for the job. You want to vote them in? Fine, How do you feel about Senator Thanatos Joining, with her views on Ethic's?
We shall have a committee vote to see if Senator Tremaine is good enough, also to see if Senator Ordan is good enough, He's not responded in over 9 day's, so he is to be considered expended until he replies to my letter, which I will send shortly.Added (27 Jul 2011, 5:04 Am)

Also, Senator. No one voted you, or Ordan in when this committee began. I appointed you in, along with Senator Ordan based on your views on things, that is why I appointed Senator Thanatos, also Senator Tremaine. Standing by their words.
And like I said before, Governor, If you have a problem with the way I run things, me editing my words to fix a few misspelled words, well excuse me for caring about proper spelling, and grammar.

| Senator you are lying to this committee. You said we'd be consulted on new rules and appointments and you changed your words after the fact without telling us to say we wouldn't be consulted. This isnt a "few mispelled words," and please know I'm not a moron. This is an unethical way to run this committee and I'm trying to get on with business and here you're holding it up to cram your appointments through. You appointed 2 people, that makes 3 and that means we can have a majority now and vote on things as a committee. How many things are we voting on right now? 3 things? 4 things? First its the rules then its Thanatos then its the censure and now you want a vote on suspending Ordan too? Well I vote against.. But for all I know next your going to say no, I'm not allowed to vote, its your decision only. Senator I object in the strongest terms to the shabby and unethical way this committee is being run and I will take it up with the Grand Vizier if necesary. But with all due respect I'll be damned if I'm going to let you ride the committee like your own gift horse in the meantime. I'm trying to get to work here.. I'm trying to be respectful and I"m showing you the same respect your showing me and this committee.

| Senators, I apologise for my absence recently. I have been strenuously been attempting to cause a successful conclusion to the protests regarding Monor II. I must respectfully submit my vote in line with Senator Oswaldt's vote, Against. I must also make the strenuous point that attempting to suspend myself in order to control a deadlock of this committee seems to be an abuse of power. We must discuss appointments before appointing Senators to this committee...
Should we not be discussing the actual issue we were formed off the back off? the Discussion regarding the Censure of Senator Zarcaine? Rather than seeking to add more to our already ample committee.
This committee is not the fiefdom of Senator Youngblood, it is completely unreasonable to suspend myself without consulting the rest of the Committee. I also am willing to take this to the Grand Vizier if need be, this is the Ethics Committee and must be conducted in accordance with good ethics (voting, procedure etc) not as a one man band. If Senator Youngblood is unwilling to be reasonable then I must propose an investigation of Senator Youngblood's own behaviour with regards to this committee.
I was not aware this hearing was taking place, and I would suggest that in future the Chair notifies me of it being held before attempting an illegitimate suspension for not being present.. This is a committee, matters must be voted on.

Back to the Censure, I've viewed Senator Zarcaines words, and his apology. how do you feel, Senator Ordan. Censure him? or give him a second chance?
