Grand Vizier,

With the recent events surrounding Parein II, and the loss of Moff Lestrade, It is my understanding that a few of the Hapen's were indeed captured, and have been slated to be shipped to the spice mines of Kessel. I believe that it would be for the best interest of the Empire if the prisoners where not sent to Kessel, as my understanding of the world causes many whom find their way to the mines often end up losing their mind.

I have a suggestion, that I believe would better suite the Empire. Transfer the Hapen prisoners to the world of Eos in the Cadavine Sector. While it still has its hazards, it is very much less hazardous than Kessel, if the workers stay with in the shielded area's of the mining facility. In this way, we may keep the prisoners minds intact. This would mean keeping the prisoners working on Eos for a set time. If there are Hapen prisoners there that would rather give up their secrets, than continue to work, their minds would still be intact enough that they could speak with us.

Signed,

Moff Verilia

Moff Verilia,

Your suggestion is appreciated. While I can't comment on a supposed tendency of prisoners on Kessel to "lose their minds," rest assured the Hapan prisoners will have all relevant information extracted from them before they are sent to Kessel. Imperial Intelligence informs me that the large numbers of prisoners of diverse experience and background will assure that the information we obtain will be comprehensive indeed. Once the information is obtained, the Empire will not be particularly concerned with sparing the prisoners the unpleasantness of the spice mines (those who shall remain on Kessel, that is. The Ruling Council has plans for the rest of the prisoners that will entail transferring them elsewhere. Only the lowest value prisoners will remain on Kessel, so you see your concern is misplaced).

But as always, I welcome your suggestions. Good day, Moff Verilia.
