Senators,

I am writing to you as Senators who supported (and in many cases co-sponsored) the Capital Vessels Act. This is an act which has on many levels helped to protect the Empire and its worlds from those who would threaten their security and safety.

However, it is deficient in that I believe in some respects it leaves too many loopholes (as regarding Commerce vessels etc) while in other respects it requires expensive modifications to existing vessels. I have sought to overturn both of these problems and create a piece of legislation which closes the loopholes, streamlines the process and continues to protect each and every one of us from the threat posed by rogue Capital ships.

Thus I have proposed the Capital Vessels Act II. A vote in favour of this act is:
A vote in favour of protecting Imperial Citizens and Planets from the threat of mass bombardment.
A vote in favour of the protection of our boys in Grey from huge weapons of mass destruction.
A vote in favour of protecting our merchant fleets while helping prevent them coming up against large and dangerous vessels.
A vote to cut red tape and streamline the Capital Vessels Act.
A vote to close loopholes in the Capital Vessels Act.

If you have any problems, questions or input I would be happy to discourse with you in order for us to build an act (as before) based on consensus which helps every Imperial Citizen sleep safer in their beds.

Regards

Bernard Oriel
Senator for the Planet of Vjun
1st Earl Malreaux (Second Creation)
Vjun Delegation to the Imperial Senate

Senator Oriel,

I thank you for contacting me regarding your bill. I have already relayed my concerns on the floor. However, it doesn't hurt to speak of this again. Wouldn't this Act impact the economy on several worlds?

Tremaine Fowlkes
Senator of Telos IV

No.

This will not impact any economies - it is an act of deregulation.
