A Reference Guide to the Peace and Parity Act, pending before the Senate.
(a summary)
1.1. Sector Moffs shall impose regulations on the possession of capital ships in their sectors.
1.1a., b., and c. are suggested guidelines for these regulations.
1.2. A "Council of Moffs" is established.
1.3. Sector regulations shall not apply to vessels with Class 10 hyperdrives or higher.
1.4. Sector regulations shall not apply to personal vessels.
1.5. Sector regulations shall not apply to vessels "passing through" a sector.
1.6. Sector laws on possession of illicit cargo shall still apply, however.
1.7. Regulations shall not apply to diplomatic vessels.
2.1. The Defense Committee shall hear appeals and issue exemptions to sector regulations.
2.2. The Commerce Committee shall hear appeals and issue exemptions to laws on prohibited cargoes.
3.1. (Reiterated) Use of force requires notification and consent of the Empire.
3.2. Planets shall notify the Ruling Council of intent to use force, while businesses, individuals, etc. shall notify sector Moffs.
3.3. Consent to the use of force exempts from sector regulations.
4.1. and 4.2. Clauses of the Capital Vessels Acts are repealed.
4.3. No limits are placed on the possession of space defense platforms.
4.4. Affordability of capital ships for poorer worlds.
4.5. Salary increase for certain demographics.
4.6. "Imperial Surplus, Inc." is established.
4.7. Committee chairmen shall have tie-breaker vote.
4.8. The Senate endorses Onderonian control of Dxun.
4.9. "Pit Racing" is not a sport.
4.10. Funding for the Anaxes Citadel.
5.1. Supremacy of this act relative to prior acts.
5.2. The Senate may pass additional regulations on warships.
