Subject: Anti-Slavery

Greetings,

I hope time spent outside the Senate Hall has been well to you. I'm here to talk to you about your anti-slaving operation. Recently, a Broadside-class cruiser registered to Ralltiir government was seen probing and pursuing this Lieutenant Tarrington over Tells IV. The TSF had informed me of your intentions. I do not object to your men's presence but please do inform me in advance the next time you or your men are about to enter the system.

Now that's out of the way, I would like to speak about joining your campaign in getting rid of slavery in this galaxy. Perhaps we should speak about this in person. I am about to head for Sluis Van to meet with Senator Domon Perhaps we can also talk him into this as well?? Please do let me know as soon as possible.

Regards,

Tremaine Fowlkes
Senator of Telos IV

Tremaine,

I'm sorry if the unannounced presence of the Clement at Telos IV caused any confusion or alarm, however brief. I'm told that the captain of the ship contacted the Telosian ground control promptly on arrival, but nonetheless we'll endeavor to provide more advanced notice of our presence in the system in the future. The reason this wasn't done last week is that the Clement, as you know, is currently on an assignment to pursue suspected pirates in an attempt to locate their bases of operation and common places of business, and as a result the captain of the Clement isn't certain where it's going, necessarily. Tracking elusive slaving vessels based only on hearsay and approximate hyperspace trajectories is quite a challenge, I'm told. So far, the Clement has succeeded in the task, but as I said I'll see to it the captain is instructed to provide advanced notice when possible to Telos IV and other worlds it happens upon in the course of its mission. Ralltiir respects the integrity of Telosian space.

On the topic of slavery more broadly, I'm glad to see we're in agreement. With Ralltiir having been rather active in deterring the slave trade, I would like very much to discuss the matter with you and Senator Domon also. I'll direct my staff to contact his and plan to attend this meeting at Sluis Van. I appreciate the invitation.

Sincerely,

Eli Fitzgerald
Senator of Ralltiir (10 BBY—Present)
