A STATEMENT ON THE RESIGNATION OF DARRES VERILIA
The Ruling Council has today accepted the resignation of Darres Verilia as the Moff of the Cadavine Sector with immediate effect. The Council agreed with Moff Verilia that the weight of the criticism he has received for alleged improprieties in the conduct of his businesses and his conduct as Moff made it difficult to continue to serve with the confidence of the people of Cadavine Sector and that it was in the best interest of the Sector to resign. The Council is grateful for Moff Verilia's service to the Empire and to the Old Republic in the Clone Wars.
