Grand Vizier,

As per my previous reports, Deralia has become a problem within my sector. While constantly protesting it's "loyalty" to an abstract notion of the "Throne" it's government has been anything but loyal in the time since King Deralius XX was appointed to the Throne of Deralia.

Problematic factors on Deralia

- No sector policies have been adhered to or encouraged by the Deralian Monarchy.
- The King of Deralia has attempted to appoint a Senator for the Sector over the heads of myself and the rest of the Sector.
- There has been a consistent policy of the Deralian Senators criticizing and "bad mouthing" the rest of the Sector in order to glorify Deralia.
- Statements have been issued to the effect that the King wishes to hegemonise the Sector as a "big brother" or the "Coruscant" (read capital) of the Outer Rim.
- Deralia has shown a heavy criticism over the piracy rate in the Sector (which is now lower than average for the region), while pursuing a defense policy which makes no effort to combat piracy while pursuing a build up of "aggressive" forces (see previous report on the purchase of a Venator-class vesseel) unsuitable for defensive or counter-criminal activities.
- Deralia's Military has betrayed it's people by leaving the planet completely unattended (see the Sector report on the Celest raid) while conducting a botched invasion of Dantooine.
- The King of Deralia has been repeatedly insubordinate to my office, and my subordinates tasked with specific duties regarding his world.
- Wide deviations from the Imperial Cultural Norm, widespread religion and traditions of "loyalty to the King" which go above and beyond their loyalty to the Emperor.

As such I have made the decision to replace the guards on the Deralian Royal Palaces (and surrounding areas) with Imperial Stormtroopers, the king's family and relatives have likewise been assigned Imperial guards in replacement for their local "Praetorian Guard" (translated into basic as Imperial Guard or Emperor's Guard).

Furthermore, I have formed group of Imperial Security Bureau and Imperial Intelligence Agents from the Sector into a special task force to combat threats within the Sector. This "Tammuz Sector Discretionary Force" was the taskforce responsible for the largest seizure of arms and material from illegal arms dealers in Sector history. In order to assure a satisfactory conclusion of more situations, I have broadened their mandate to include all "Special Circumstances" such as organised crime and government treachery.

It is becoming apparent that the throne of King Deralius XX may require overturning in order to consolidate Imperial Rule on Deralia (he has been given two "final warnings" about his insubordinate behavior). As such I have dispatched Agents of the Tammuz Sector discretionary force to find the names of those who hold loyalty to the Emperor above their petty king. Actions will be taken to assure these individuals are in a position to endorse any new regime, if the king were to cease to hold the throne. We believe that Imperial Rule may be most efficiently achieved by a weak republican form of government (playing on local idealism around the notion of republicanism), married to a strong Imperial Governor.

Any new government would be left suitably weakened so that it did not control any "larger" capital-class vessels (above 800m) and instead focused upon interdiction and the defense of their world, rather than interdiction.

Frankly, Deralia believes that stating loyalty constantly while acting in an insubordinate and uncooperative manner constitutes loyalty, and my office has lost confidence in King Deralius XX to govern Deralia as a loyal adherent to the New Order.

Elsewhere, the Sector outlook is very positive, with a stream of new investment from several Imperial companies we are hopeful of exceeding our estimates for economic growth. Piracy rates are down (as mentioned) owing to the increased level of patrols mounted by the Sector Fleet.

Sincerely,

Moff of the Tammuz Sector
