| To Whom It May Concern,
It is my pleasure to notify you that the Most Excellent Fleet of the Azure Interest Protection Squadron will be passing through your space 30 days hence, in addition we expect contingents from Brentaal and several of our other allies to be travelling with us. We write to you so that you will not be peturbed by our presence.
As yet we have no specific plans, but we plan to enter the Cronese Mandate close to the border with Murkhana and transit along the Greater Cronese Arc via Pasmin, Soruus, Barancar, Oor, Chandaar and Janilis. At Chandaar we would request to be able to take on fuel and supplies for some of our smaller vessels before departing the Cronese Mandate via Arcan and on to the Perlamian trade route.
Naturally, we will not be charging your world for the increased security in the sector during our transit, this should be considered as a gift free-gratis from the people of the Azure Sector to the Cronese Mandate.
If there is any way in which I can assist your government in answering questions (etc) regarding this matter, please do send me a return message. I look forward to meeting a liason from your Government during our visit!

It is nice to see that you're declaring what will be allowed and stating what you're going to do, rather than request that the Mandate allow your warships through Mandate space. Due to the fact that the Mandate does not want it's people in a panic about warships traveling through the Mandate, we've some concessions that you will follow if you wish to move your vessels through Mandate space, as you've so decided to state you will.
You will arrive at Pasmin and travel along the Greater Cronese Arc, with stops at Barancar, Chandaar for supplies, with your last stop being Arcan before leaving for the Perlamian Trade Route.
Should you attempt to claim that the Mandate owes any credits to your vessels for "increased security," It will be answered with legal action, including arresting you and seizing your vessels with the charges of Extortion.
Your ships will be escorted along the Greater Cronese Arc by the Cronese Mandate 101st Attack Fleet.
There will be no negotiating these terms. If you wish to move your warships through the Cronese Mandate, you will follow these concessions.

| *The permission was forwarded to the Allied participants in the Exercise, there would be considerable amusement throughout the Captains of the Anaxsi fleet that the Cronese believed the Interest Protection Squadron would allow them to "arrest" them or "seizing" their vessels. Any attempt to do so was just going to result in the loss of the 101st Attack Fleet, the plucky optimism of the Cronese became somewhat of a "meme" or "in joke" across the Interest Protection Squadron.*

I believe it is odd of the Cronese Mandate to be so confrontational over this issue - the Greater Cronese Arc is a Galactic Trade Lane - why would we have to ask for permission for using the space-routes which our taxes pay for, eh? Perhaps this is a Rimward custom I am unaware of, hostility to fellow worlds of the Empire merely transiting your region along the trade routes? I presume that this is merely a misunderstanding caused by cross-cultural exchange.
We have no problem following your schedule, and look froward to the presence of your honour guard (although the notion that it will be "escorting" our fleet of superior size and firepower is rather risible you will agree?), perhaps they would be better used in helping protect your Sector?
Naturally, the notion that we would claim you "owed us credits" after we have stated the increased security of our presence is to be taken free-gratis perhaps assumes that you fail to understand the term "free-gratis". Allow me to to quote the Concise Dictionary of the Core Worlds "Gratis versus libre is the distinction between two meanings of the Basic adjective "free"; namely, "for zero price" (gratis) and "with little or no restriction" (libre)."
An Anaxsi's word is his bond, ergo you have nothing to worry about regarding "extrortion", we think it's rather unfair that you accuse us of it by implication in such a manner, but we hope that this is a simple mistake.
