| Madam,
I would like to inform you that the riots on Caluula have been ongoing for several weeks. These riots are in the area of the our capital most commonly known as the "Cronese Quarter", an illegal settlement built on land seized by the people of the area.
These riots are made up of largely (but not exclusively) young Ethnic Cronese men.
The problems are caused by opposition to the more conservative policies of the newly elected Assembly Majority. There is no repression present from our forces, directly or indirectly, on the Cronese people.

I appreciate you taking the time to contact me. This is currently being discussed within the Imperial Senate. Is there still the potential for peaceful resolution of the matter, or has it gone past that? I am actually currently on Chandaar for what had been previously scheduled to be trade negotiations; but I could change the agenda of my talks.
Do you believe that the rioters would stand down if asked to do so by the Cronese government?

They've captured our Assembly building, slaughtered the guards and several dozen more police and planetary defense force troopers. They are now bottled up in the Parliament Complex and the rioters within the "Cronese Quarter" have been pushed back (since the most radical have gone to the Parliament). I don't believe they would stand down for anyone, they believe they are the Government now (since they hold the Assembly building).
By the order of the Assemblymen, I have given them 48 hours to leave (food should run out around now, water should have run out yesterday) and surrender, or else the building will be the target of a tactical demolition from our military.

| Mr. Krenn,
I offer mine, and those of my people's most sincere condolences for the losses your people have suffered. I do not personally feel that the Senate will allow the Mandate to intervene, considering how they have announced in the Senate what largely amounts to invasion plans - this coupled with the coup attempted by the rioters (of Cronese ethnicity) would not bode well on the perceived intentions of the Mandate.
My King has dispatched medical resources from our Sector Fleet, and while it is a long trip from the Deep Core, it hopefully shouldn't be too long. Please take advantage of them. Is there anything else I could do for you and your people, Mr. Krenn?
