| Senator,
Sluis Van has proposed that its Sluissi leader, or "Khedive," be recognized as the rightful ruler of the Sluis Sector in preference to an Imperial Moff. We can be sure that Senator Domon of Sluis Van can depend on his "Khedive" to represent the interests of the Sluissis of the Sector, but what of its Human inhabitants? Senator Tu'rot, the light of Human High Culture is danger of being extinguished in the Sluis Sector—the "Khedive" has even been quoted as saying "I intend to seize human-owned properties and businesses throughout the sector to hand them to Sluissi citizens. This, I can assure you." And there have been long been rumors of Sluissi perversions, such as a desire to inflict themselves in bodily congress on the corpses of Humans and even, I've heard it said, to eat Human flesh. Let's not forget that the "Khedive" supported the Confederacy in the Clone Wars, too. I ask you, Senator, is this who the Senate should recognize as the rightful ruler of the Sluis Sector?
To be candid with you, Senator Tu'rot, I hope to trouble you to vote against Senator Domon's motion. His world and its shipyards have done Acherin a favor with the design of the C-9979-A transport, but surely you're not willing to repay this favor to an alien in Human blood? I would also suggest to you that standing up for Human High Culture on the Outer Rim would be an important step towards Acherin re-joining the community of worlds, as it has strived earnestly to do since you've come to power as a moderating influence on your planet and people. Brentaal would certainly look more kindly upon Acherin and be inclined to support it in the Senate.
