Subject: Senator Tu'Rot
Grand Vizier,
Recently I have come to some serious doubts of Senator Tu'Rot and his past, as well as his constant claim of knowing the Emperor's Will and accusing others of being Traitors without a single spec of evidence to support it. The fact that he comes from the world of Acherin, which rebelled against the Empire when it was founded, disturbs me enough, and when you pile the fact that he continues to call those whom question him a traitor, it causes me to lose sleep at night. Grand Vizier, I'm requesting that Mr. Tu'Rot be looked into, as I've not heard that name, nor known of anyone of that name before he appeared in the Senate to represent Acherin.
Signed,
Mr. Goodchild Minister of State Representative of the Cronese Mandate

| CLASSIFIED.
Senator Goodchild,
The Grand Vizier has forwarded your message to Imperial Intelligence with instructions to determine whether or not Senator Tu'rot is worthy of investigation at this time and, if not, to reassure you of this point. Personally, Senator, I'm doubtful. Senator Tu'rot is a flamboyant man who tosses about the word "traitor" as casually (and as often) as most men employ the word "the." But more to the point, he is one of the most ardently pro-Imperial men I've ever seen or heard of or, for that matter, has probably ever existed.
The fact that he comes from Acherin, a once-rebellious world, is immaterial when you appreciate that he and his government have prevailed over the rebellious elements on Acherin and introduced pro-Imperial policies to the planet (mostly welcomed by his people). The method with which he's done so has been the subject of much admiration on Imperial Center, and there is talk of replicating his methods on other planets. There's no question that he's made a minerally-wealthy world with a regionally-influential banking sector into a model Imperial planet; as a result, the Empire has been inclined to overlook Senator Tu'rot's eccentricities (not only in his demeanor, but also in the surprising lack of records pertaining to his past). We're certainly not inclined to investigate him for a few choice words, as long as he remains a reliable supporter of the Empire, its agenda, and its interests in Wild Space.
I hope this reasoning is acceptable to you, Senator.
Yeorg Olsen Deputy Director (and Auditor General) of Imperial Intelligence Chief of the Bureau of Operations
