This marks twice now that we have been denied the glory of battle and the honor to test ourselves against one another. Seeing as in our recent encounter neither of our ships suffered any damage, you are, as am I, battle ready. I'm sure after the unfortunate retreat from Caluula that you might feel some need for revenge, perhaps? Perhaps, not? Regardless of personal feelings, we are locked in this chance meeting, you and I; denied the service to our governments worthy of our standing, the service of engaging one another in one on one combat.
This is not a matter of vanity or pride, but of duty and respect. Thus, I ask you, nae implore you, to meet the Ops, one on one, and try the fortune of our respective flags. We have noble intentions here. Our worlds have been at odds for several months now, and it is only in this fashion that we may truly settle this dispute. You should feel it a compliment that I seek you out, as I would be complimented should you accept my challenge. It is as equal and fair of a fight as you will ever get. Please, consider this offer, and grant me a speedy reply.
