Vizier Covell,

It has come to my attention that Mr. Alyn Stark has been detained here on Imperial Center for violating a "no-go zone" during the droid uprising, in defiance of Imperial warnings. Evidently, he and a fighter squadron of his were attempting to rescue Senator Lekpin, who strangely contacted Mr. Stark rather than the proper authorities. We must forgive the Imperial pilots who intercepted Mr. Stark and his fighters for acting as understandably as they did—there was no place for vigilantism in the confusion of that moment. But I feel we must be lenient to Mr. Stark too, who, after all, was acting out of concern for his Senator.

We have more reason to be lenient, too. Senator Lekpin was rescued, but he is incapacitated. My source in the Lorrdian senate delegation informs me that Mr. Stark is the most likely replacement for Lekpin, as acting Senator (provided he comes out of this incident politically undamaged). I imagine it would be in our interest to release Mr. Stark discreetly, so that we are more assured of his cooperation in the senate than we were of Mr. Lekpin and, moreover, the knowledge of what happened during the uprising can be used as leverage if need be.

See to his release, will you?

Grand Vizier,

I will see to his release first thing in the morning; thank you for bringing this to my attention. I'm surprised none of his friends in the Senate have came to my office yet to demand his release, thus I am looking forward to being ahead of the complaints that are soon to come. Regardless, it will be done. I apologize for the abruptness of my message, but the hour grows late, and unlike yourself, I must get a full night's sleep.
