To my colleague and neighbor, Moff Cole,

I commend you on the success you've had in subduing criminality in the Abrion Sector. The performance of your crews has been the envy of mine, and I've observed a friendly sense of rivalry between our sector fleets. Despite this, I'm compelled to admit that the Yminis Sector has not enjoyed the success here that you've had against criminal elements and, in fact, the situation here may have worsened as players from the Abrion Sector have, in many cases, moved their criminal enterprises to the Yminis Sector instead. I've been made aware that the Yminis Sector is considered, among the Hutts, as a sort of conduit into the Abrion Sector--I want you to know, my friend, that I take this seriously and will do everything in my power to continue to push these unsavory elements all the way back to Hutt Space.

To this end, I wonder if you'd endorse a request I intend to make to Imperial Center for additional assets to fortify the border between the Yminis and Abrion Sectors as part of a more vigorous interdiction campaign? I'm devising a strategy to assert Imperial control of the Yminis Sector's borders with the Abrion Sector and Hutt Space, so that the ability to close these borders is established and my forces are positioned to "close in" on criminal operations in the sector from two directions. (This plan is still in its conceptual stages, and I've not run it by Grand Moff Ares, but this is the rough outline).

Moreover, with the border to the Abrion Sector covered on my end, you'd not need to commit forces to that region yourself, leaving you free (perhaps freer) to continue your own operations. I know my officers would be pleased with this arrangement as they would feel that they're "doing their part." Can I solicit your support for this, Moff Cole?

Cordially, your neighbor,

Vespasian Boldt
Governor of the Yminis Sector

Moff Boldt,

It is truly unfortunate that my actions in the Abrion Sector are bringing issues to the Yminis Sector. Defeating piracy, smugglers and preventing the chance for sedition and rebellion to rise are paramount jobs for those of our office, as is keeping the populace cared for and in line. If, as you say, your sector is considered a conduit from Hutt Space to mine, then every effort must be made indeed. If this is so, then I fully intend to assist in border fortification. I have made overtures to Imperial Center for additional vessels to bolster the Abrion Sector's fleet; if they are granted, I intend to commit a portion of them and crews to assist in your sector's defense, as any good neighbor would do. I cannot simply leave you alone on the forefront of Hutt Space.

Between what you might request from Imperial Center and what my needs call for, we should be more than capable of putting pressure on any criminals coming from Hutt Space and drive them back into the cesspit from whence they came.

Kind regards,

Geoff Cole
