| Dantooine wishes to consider replacing our present DP-20 Frigate with a Battleship along the lines of the concept I've had drawn up below.
We invite all tenders for designs and proposals in the appropriate grade and an estimate for producing our concept from the Galactic Shipwrights.
Nothin' too fancy.

Lorrd Engineering would be willing to undertake this endeavor. My question though is such: what would one gain from producing this craft for Dantooine? Is there a contract of some sort or solely a single-production item?

| A Hydrogen-Tritium Reactor could be placed onboard in lieu of using Hypermatter (still keeping a limited supply in tanks for Hyperspace travel). This would allow you to produce your own fuel for the craft's day to day use around the Dantooine-system by utilizing the star present as a source of free hydrogen. If you really wished to economize you could put power cells onboard and have it link itself to an Orbital Solar Energy Transfer Satellite once a week - this'd limit the craft to a weeks use (Orbital Solar Energy Transfer Satellite available separately).
I also propose fitting four solid fuel rockets to allow a temporary speed boost to "Ramming speed" when required. They could be fired in pairs or individually and give you a much needed boost.
As for ramming. Give us a few days, we'd suggest a solid durasteel prow, with perhaps some variety of shield-mitigating alloy (give us a few days on this). Optionally, we could fit explosive reactive ramming charges to assure penetration, and potentially even a number of extendable spikes or arms to cut and damage enemy vessels. If you wanted we could look at some variety of thrusting boarding tube in the centre of the ram to cut through the crushed enemy ship and disgorge marines - just a thought.
Stick a half-dozen DBY-827 turrets on, port and starboard, a few other weapons here and there, and she'd be a fine ship. If you want cheap weapons, can't go wrong with Kinetics. I could have rail guns or chemical powered kinetics emplaced aboard - these are especially useful as flak guns. These projectile weapons are easily supplied locally. A few chemical rockets could be carried on external racks or silos - cheaper than the proton based alternatives and something you could produce locally, but would need to be bigger to have the same effect.
As for those fighters mentioned, we'd be willing to throw in a half squadron of INT-4 Light Fighters gratis.
We'll build you this design for the DP20 Gunship plus 20,000,000 Imperial Credits.
