The Dictator-class "Aggressive defense" Frigate

Technical specifications
Length: 400m
Hyperdrive system: Class 1.5, Backup Class 5
Hull: Reinforced durasteel with alloy braces, bulkheads and struts.
Shielding: Equivalent to a Nebulon B-class Frigate
Engines: 60 MGLT (45 MGLT while towing it's weapons emplacements with tractor beams)
Armament: Six Dual Turbolaser Turrets, Three Dual Ion Cannon Turrets, 12 Tractor Beam Projectors, Six Quadlasers.
Parasite craft: 12 A-7 Hunter Interceptors of TIE Fighters, several shuttles, Four Large Gun/Warhead Emplacements, Eight Gun Emplacements.
Crew: 750, 50 Marines.

Note: The should would essentially be an area-denial device or line ship in it's own.

As an area denial device, the ship would deploy it's weapons emplacements crewed via a quick insertion, using it's tractor beams to move them into place before falling back as required.

As a line ship, the Frigate would be able to move along holding the dozen weapons platforms outside of it's own deflector shields, operating the weapons platforms via internal onboard targeting computers, tethered with tractor beams, extending it's own range and creating a lethal killing zone around the Frigate's immediate vicinity in the event of starfighter attack - it also has considerable anti-capital ship firepower in itself and combined with it's gun emplacements it is an excellent craft around which a small fleet could secure it's battle-line.

The Premium Rimward Range

The following line are designed to be simple but functional and effective ships built simply but with all the design ethos that goes into the RHE manufacturing processes. Each of these vessels is optimized for roles that the worlds of the Outer Rim tell us they need. With heavy designs of armoured defense monitors to counter any potentialk capital threat, fast light corvettes to police outlying systems, fast in-system pickets able to effectively pin down any hostile forces, and armoured and armed freighters to counter the threat of Piracy.

And we're cheaper? How did we do it? We went back to basics, and looked at the proven design characteristics that have lasted the test of time. We've invested in using cheaper reactors using alternative power sources that are abundant on the many worlds across the Rim - meaning your world is no longer beholden to the whims of the Galactic Market. We stripped out everything but the basics, these ships AI might not win any competitions, and a lot of the more fashionable systems have been eschewed in order to produce the Outer Rim Governments vessels that will hit hard, hit consistently, weather any damage they're exposed to and be built from simple, easy to understand and replace components, available on all civilized worlds.

Gentlemen, craft like these will be the ones that bring a sense of lasting security to the Outer Rim.

The Rim-class Planetary Defense Monitor

Technical specifications
Length: 550m
Hyperdrive system: Not fitted or equippable, spece which would be used for that dedicated to redundancy in the main generator.
Hull: Reinforced durasteel with alloy braces, bulkheads and struts, extremely heavily armoured prow, this prow (. Armour is as thick and structural integrity is equal to an Acclamator-I, despite being considerably smaller.
Shielding: Equivalent to an Acclamator-class.
Engines: 40 MGLT
Armament: Long Range Heavy Turbolaser Turrets (DBY-827 heavy dual turbolasers in larger, more heavily armoured barbettes offering less agility but superior protection) (2), Dual Medium Turbolaser Turrets (16), Point Defense Dual Laser Cannon (4), Tractor Beam Projector with heavy hull bracing support (1)
Parasite craft: 16 A-7 Hunter Interceptors (VTOL directly down into armoured individual hangar areas on each side, hangar doors iris closed above landed vessels)
Crew: 700, 100 Gunners, 50 Marines.
Consumables: One Month

The Outer Rim-class is the first in a new line of ships not designed to compete with the kind of tech seen in modern KDY HQ designs. It isn't a fancy, top of the line, elite dancing Corvette or a sprightly Frigate. The Outer Rim-class is is something that is incredibly needed in the worlds of the Outer Rim, and yet in incredibly short supply, a short ranged, capable ship with heavy firepower, heavy armour but not needing the fripperies of Hyperdrives or advanced systems (that can only prove a liability later).

The class is designed from the ground with simplicity in mind ((The AK-47 of it's day perhaps)). Most Outer Rim worlds have no interest in conducting offensive actions (What does Dantooine care about Lorrd?), and so require a back to basics hard hitter of the kind that produced the Core worlds many Dreadnoughts. The ship doesn't need to expend huge volumes of energy to get to hyperspace, and so is able to have lower powered reactors in their place - lower powered and more efficient than the Clone Wars Era Hypermatter based generators. Each of these Monitors has three power sources, one is a simple back to basics fusion reactor, using Hydrogen-Tritium Gas as fuel, the next is an efficient Anthracite heat induction furnace that powers a simple power generator. The last is a solar panel array layered across the whole prow of the vessel (vulnerable if shields are down) that charge the internal power cells around the clock, whenever the ship is anything but facing directly away from a Star - giving an emergency reserve that can power the ship operationally for a day.

It's worth mentioning, the ship's truly remarkable feature is it's sheer mass. It's not designed to enter atmosphere, and so weight is not a concern, as such, every metal plate aboard is twice it's normal thickness on contemporary Rothana designs. The armoured prow itself is fifty meters thick and composed of a strong ferrous alloy which (if inclined toward turbolaser fire, even unshileded will allow a goodly volley from most Corvette or Frigate designs to cause nothing but superficial damage).

What's the tactical value of this ship? To be able to move quickly (or launch fighters to move even quicker) and intercept hostile craft in Outer Rim Systems, with the assistance of smaller patrol boats to deal with minor problems, a Defense Monitor provides a very distinct statement to would-be aggressors. There is no threat too great in the Rim to easily overwhelm us - those who try will find themselves locked into a (usually futile) gunnery battle which (thanks to the multiple redundancy in power systems) allows the ship to completely restore it's shields to full operational capacity from completely charged down by draining it's solar charged batteries (one week required to recharge, assuming the panels survive). At full speed, thanks to it's sturdy construction, it is able to ram almost any capital vessel (regardless of mass) and sustain minimal damage thanks to the extreme level of internal bracing and bulkheads present - of course it's not awfully sprightly, but should the opportunity arise, there's a good chance a fragile Separatist style ship would be literally ripped in half by such an Impact - shields or none, projectile shields aren't designed to stand up to thousands of tons of high velocity kinetic impact. Naturally, this type of strategy is not suggested and voids all warranty obligations on the behalf of RHE.

The Expansion-class Interdiction Corvette

Harmonius-class Armed and Armoured Freighter

(appropriate for civilian and military use)

Technical specifications
Length: 400m
Hyperdrive system: Class 3
Hull: Durasteel hull, reinforced struts able to carry four separate cargo pods, a single large tank of gas or a basic passenger suite thanks to it's modular design. 300 RU
Shielding: 300 SBD
Engines: 30 MGLT (engines able to pivot, increasing manouverability and deceleration.
Armament: Concealed point defense laser (2)
Parasite craft: 8 A-7 Hunter Interceptors, in racks concealed within struts.
Special gear: Sensor jammer to render underside of the ship not easily scanned, combined with visual concealment of the fighters, it provides a nasty surprise.
Crew: 8 Crew, 8 Pilots.
Modules:
Hauler: Gas, cargo or fluid containers with a volume of 421875 Cubic meters each, 1687500 Cubic meters.
Passenger Module: May carry up to 500 per module, meaning a total of 1500 may be carried total - The final of the four cargo modules must always be a life support module in the event passengers are carried to pressurize the other compartments.
Q-Ship: The module opens up to reveal a XX-9 heavy turbolaser Turret facing either side, these are powered by generators within the Q-Ship Module itself. It should be noticed that the standard models carry Hauler Modules, and Passenger of Defense Modules require an after-market purchase or may be added to the original order.
