I could not help but have you cross my mind as I sit here aboard the Viridian Sky, drawing up battle formations and attempting to find what help I may amongst the varied allies we have and some that we do not have. These are troubling times, and while the Kinyov Province is well defended, it is not impenetrable. The wiser part of my mind instructs me to send you to Naboo, where the cowards of the Auril Sector will not dare touch you, or even better, to Cambria, where you will be most safe. Nonetheless, I feel this endeavor would not be the same if I did not have you by my side.

Fear not, my darling Ana. I am confident that Lorrd shall pull through this trial as we have before in so many things.

Darling,

You have absolutely NO idea how sick with worry I have been about you. Mrs. Miteya, bless her soul, has been trying hard to shelter me from it and keep the worry at bay, but I would rather know than be in the dark. You are safe though? Unharmed? What about Irlilia? And Gadrid and Tarin?

Please promise me that you will not be angry with me, Alyn. I have been writing to Senators that I know and that will be sympathetic to Lorrd's plight. Eli Fitzgerald is, as I write this, working on a 2-3 billion credit loan to Lorrd for her defense. Senator Ray has offered aid in the form of treatment at their medical centers for any excess wounded. Governor Tu'Rot promises acts of peacekeeping if needed. I have done what I can, my love, and I will let you know if anyone else responds. Please forgive me for doing this behind your back.

I have heard from Artemis also. He would like me to leave Lorrd and go to Naboo, or Kelm at the very least. I am not sure that it is wise or safe right now, Alyn. I admit that I am worried, and very nervous. And I hope that you do not think me to be weak, but I am scared. I was very young when the Clone Wars broke out, but I do remember how horrible it was and I could not bear to see it here. I love my new home, and I would hate to see her destroyed and her people senselessly murdered for sport.

I know that what you are doing right now is what you feel is best, but Alyn remember what I told you after the droid uprising. My love, you are many things, but you are not a superhero. Please come home safe and soon. Your son and I need you too.

I apologize for any worry that you have felt in the recent day. I am quite safe though, as are all the Shadowguard. Irlilia will be prepping the Beautiful Mind to transport you if the need arises. She is one of the fastest ships I own and it is unlikely the Auril Sector forces have much that can catch her, either in sublight or in hyperspace. In the event things do not go well, you will be sent to Cambria, in the Deep Core. The governor there is a close, personal friend of mine and you will be safe, come whatever may.

I don't quite know what to say to hear you've been soliciting Senators for help. I can only tell you I am pleasantly surprised and very pleased, my love. Your help may have given us the greatest boost in the war effort to date. I thank you from the bottom of my heart and for all Lorrd's people for what you have done.

I know I am no superhero, Ana. However, many have called me a merchant of death. Perhaps it is time I lived up to that name and sold some of this death back to the Auril Sector. I cannot sit idly by and simply let the people of Lorrd be cut down by ravening madman. I will remain safe, though, for you and our son.

I only did what I felt was right and what I knew to do. The senators that I have written to are only ones that I personally know. I've spoken to Senator Thanatos also and she's offered to send one of her mobile medical centers to the area. They're equipped for pediatrics, but she assures me that they will be helpful in any case.

I really do not wish to leave unless you do. And since you will not be going, nor will I. You will need Irlilia's help more than I though, so please do not send her for me. If worse comes to worse, as you fear, Davon has offered to come and help. I have that beautiful ship that Senator Domon brought for me and Davon can fly anything. And also, Eli Fitzgerald offered to send his diplomatic shuttle. I am fine, I promise. Must I come up there and prove it to you, dearest heart?

I know that you need to help the people of Lorrd. Please do not ever doubt that I understand that. Once a soldier, always a soldier, or so I am told. I trust that you will come back to me soon, and unharmed. But in the meantime, promise you will keep in touch....I worry.....

While Eli Fitzgerald and Davon Vanden may be good friends and caring people, the difference is that I do not know them as well as do Irlilia, or Gadrid for that matter. It has been for this reason that I have sent both to Castle Stark this hour to stay with you and keep you safe. I'm confident that the others will act accordingly in my defense in this matter. As well, I am further pleased to hear that aid is coming in from so many places; it's quite unexpected as Lorrd has often been neutral in other issues.

As you say though, I will remain safe and unharmed. It's not as if these Auril Sector bandits can simply sneak aboard my ship, my love. I daresay I'm perhaps one of the safest people up here in space right now. I shall keep in better touch as well, so that you might not fret.

Dear Alyn,

And what if I send them straight back, or do I have no choice in this matter? You, my love, are the one in danger here. Not me. I suppose that I should not argue with you on this. You will do what you wish and what makes you feel comfortable. Davon is still coming, however. I hope that you will not mind that at all.

No one may be able to sneak aboard your ship, Alyn, but worse things could happen. What if someone were to fire on it and you lose shields? Or what if it gets hit by another ship? Things happen. Ships go down. I am sorry to be so fretful, perhaps more than I should be. I do not think that there will ever be a day that I will not worry about you and your safety.

Do you see what you've done to me, Alyn Stark? I fear the worst with you at times, dearest. Please let me know if there is anything that I can do to help you further. I promise, I won't do anything 'Ana-like', as Davon puts it. You do not need to be worrying about me here.

My darling,

If I may be honest, two more small craft in a space battle are not likely to make a difference. Unfortunately as ships go, both Irlilia and Gadrid's private ships do not have enough firepower to turn the tide or loose the battle either and as such, I can more than spare them. I don't quite think they'd listen to you anyway; I know Irlilia is quite fond of you and Gadrid... well, he likes you as much as he likes anyone, which is a rarity. Having them and Davon to watch over you will be greater assistance, one can assume.

As for ships going down, I do not anticipate being aboard the Viridian Sky during the entire course of the battle. As sophisticated as it is, it serves better as a command and control ship rather than an actual warship. Besides, I have my personal shuttle on top of that. I suspect I'll be spending more time in that than the liner.

Do not fear the worst, only know the best will come. There will never be a day when I do not come for you and keep you safe. At this point, just do your best not to worry and to relax. Stress cannot be helpful to you. Regardless, I always worry about you. It's how I keep you safe my love.

I've been told that Irlilia has just arrived safely. I do feel much more comfortable with her nearby. She can at least shoot someone, if needed, and hit them in more than just their ear. I am quite the pathetic shot, am I not? Still, I do wish it was you here, but I won't keep you from what you need to do.

Do tell me though, have you heard from Jendos? Is he well and safe enough? I am not sure if his home is quite the fortress this one is or not.

I have heard from Jendos; he is in Lorrd City with the other Heads of Houses working hard to solve this issue. That is in part why I write to you now. Word has come to me that the Auril Sector and Lorrd have reached peace terms with one another and we shall not have a war upon our hands. You may rest easy, my love. Wonderful news! I am glad to hear that things are coming to a peaceful end. Too many have died already, and I did not wish to see any more names added to the list that I saw earlier; moreover, I did not wish to see your name on that list. I am not sure I would have survived it.

I can guarantee you that I will sleep a bit easier tonight, but not as well as I will when you are safely home and at my side. Mrs. Miteya will be thrilled also, so I will be sure to tell her straight away.

Alyn, Davon is here. Seems he did not make it home after the wedding and has just been lingering around Lorrd. I had planned on going with him to Naboo, but now that is unnecessary and we can arrange travel accommodations for him to go home if he likes? I know that he does not need much, but I would like to make sure that he is comfortable and well taken care of for the trip at least. Is that reasonable?

Dearest Ana,

I shall indeed be home soon, pending a few items left to consider up here. With Lorrd's defenses weakened, I must add my own personal defenses to the cause. That is what I am setting in motion now, so that certain items may be put back the way they were, if such makes sense.

In regards to the younger Mr. Vanden, he is welcome to a room in the east wing for as long as he needs. If there is anything at all we can do to assist him or make his stay comfortable, then by all means we shall do so.
