Urgent message for grand Vizier Sate Pestage

| Sir,
I realize that I have not yet been granted entrance to the Imperial Senate, but I do have a matter of urgency to discuss with you. I have attached a holovid of former Senator Tremaine Fowlkes that my team came across, just happened upon really, dated just four days prior to this communication. As I have suspected for some time, the Senator is not deceased, rather working as a rebel and a traitor to the Empire.
It appears that he is also taking up kidnapping as a hobby. My personal investigator has yet to learn who the poor woman is, but I am sure that we will know soon enough. The data pad that Fowlkes clearly threw on the hangar floor has not been retrieved by any Imperial authority to my knowledge yet.
Please do forgive my rudeness for coming to you in this way, but I felt that it was important knowledge for you, and His Majesty, to know as soon as possible.

I'm grateful that you brought this to my attention discreetly, but also chagrined that you did so very indiscreetly in the Senate as well. Imperial Intelligence has a file on former Senator Fowlkes, Ms. Romanov. Your involvement in this is unnecessary, and your words unhelpful. On behalf of the Ruling Council, and relaying to you the personal wishes of Director Isard and Lord Vader of Imperial Intelligence, I ask that you keep this quiet. In return for A.) no charges being filed against you and your "team" for obstruction of justice and disclosure of classified information, and B.) my exertions to expedite your petition for membership in the Senate, you will read the following statement when the Senate reconvenes in thirty minutes:
"What I have stated about Mr. Fowlkes is my personal opinion. I am in possession of no evidence pertaining to Mr. Fowlkes, and I was mistaken if I implied anything to the contrary. Furthermore, I have no reason to doubt the accounts I have read of Mr. Fowlkes's death and have nothing more to say on this topic."
You have a promising career ahead of you, Ms. Romanov. Your fealty to the Empire is appreciated, and I don't want to see you end as ingloriously as Mr. Fowlkes did. In the future, if you have reason to doubt the Imperial accounting of events, may I suggest you raise your concerns with your superiors? There's a good girl.

| You'll have to forgive me, Grand Vizier, my involvement was entirely necessary, for the good of the people of Telos IV. Wy do they not have a right to know what a traitorous snipe Fowlkes really was? Do you not think it would make the government transition smoother? Or do you fear they will rebel also? That should not be a concern, for truth, as it will not happen on my watch.
That being said, I will do as asked this time. But I will write my own statement to the senate, if you please.
Also...I have never once been called a good girl in my life.

As long as the statement makes clear that you have no evidence pertaining to Mr. Fowlkes and that what you have spoken was your personal opinion, that will suffice. As to the reasons for this, you're welcome to ask Lord Vader for clarification if you believe the Empire isn't acting in the best interests of the people.
