Ms Elena Nabavi

I am informed you are the legal representation for the wife of the late Lord Stark.

Lady Stark wrote to me in a recent letter stating she intends to challenge the will as it stands, as is her right.

She seems concerned that the will leaves her without assets from the estate; to quote her:

Quote (Ana_Stark)
my livlihood and that of my son removed so hastily without second thought or consideration

Please make her aware that this is far from the case, under the will she will be entitled to considerable assets, these are:

-A title as "Countess of Qatamer" in a newly created fief.
-"One Hundred Million Imperial Credits are to be placed in a trust fund in the name of my wife Anna Stark and her descendants, the dividends from this fund shall be paid out quarterly to allow her and her descendants to live in a genteel and elegant style."
-Around a billion credits worth of property in the form of Lord Stark's ships and personal chattels.
-Ten percent of Lord Stark's land in Kinyov Province (several hundred million credits worth at least by my calculation)Trusteeship of a charity that will manage Lord Stark's skyhook, and his personal residence within the skyhook to her private ownership.
-A 50% share in Synthtech Medical Corporation.

This will leave her with a bequest from the estate worth several billions of credits; this is hardly taking away her livelihood.

Please keep me informed of developments.

Mr. Maxwell,

The alleged last will and testament of Lord Alyn Stark must be submitted to an Imperial Judge for probate before it is made public and executed to determine the validity of the will. Part of your responsibility as co-executor is to submit the will to probate, but since you feel that it needs to made public without following the proper protocols, Senator Thanatos will be doing so upon her arrival here.

Furthermore, it is not your job as co-executor to advise Lady Stark that she is receiving ample compensation from her husbands estate. If the will is determine valid, at that time you may read the will and execute its contents. Not before. Your insistence is concerning.

You will know the outcome as soon as I am made aware.

Cordially,
Elena Nabavi

Mrs Nabavi,

I didn't comment on the adequacy or ample nature of the legacy (compensation seems an extremely inappropriate term, she's not receiving recompense rather receiving a share of her husbands estate); I just wish you to convey to her the details I outlined as she requested communications go through yourself.

As I said work on the probate process is underway by myself to verify all the details held within the document and assure contact is made with the respective people who are granted legacies. There is no requirement for a will to be suppressed before the process of probate is completed, but if you wish for it be proceeded with immediately then I will do so.

The will MUST be validated before it is read, Mr. Maxwell. You cannot execute a will until an impartial Imperial Judge determines te validity. You've indicated that you have already begun notification of those listen in the will, which is illegal until this will is verified. I would suggest that you cease these actions until the probate is completed.

Cordially,

Elena Nabavi

(Read: management will decide on the validity of the will once the evidence is brought forth, so I've been advised)

That is not the Trandoshan tradition, which is the jurisdiction which Lord Stark died in, there it is customary to informally read the will (rather than the legal term reading a will) before the probate process. However, if you wish to proceed the Imperial Center way then I am open to that.

May I remind you that it is incumbent upon executors to file for probate as soon as possible and despite Mrs Stark wishing to delay the progress of her husbands will there are other beneficiaries including His Imperial Majesty who I am sure wish to retain their funds promptly.

It is customary to notify beneficiaries prior to probate that they might attend if they wish to do so. The validity of the will is not in question as far as I am concerned, it was dictated to and witnessed by an Imperial Magistrate, I would not go so far as to question your judgement in this though.

I've filed for a probate hearing so that we can hear any objections, I've spoken to Justice Myjector and have organised a live hologrammatic connection in Imperial premesis on Trandosha so the witnesses can be easily called etc.

Yours sincerely,

Mr Heinrich Maxwell
