Terminus was a bustling center of trade on the edge of the Outer Rim. Situated near Wild Space and the Unknown Regions, its skies were filled with strange, exotic spacecraft rarely seen in the rest of the galaxy. And indeed, other strange and exotic things could be found there too: technologies, currencies, weapons, drugs, women of all species. Terminus was where the "wild and wooly Outer Rim" earned its nickname. But this is not the Terminus that Lamont Kruus, slaver, profiteer, Captain of the Munificent-class star frigate Windfall, was interested in. There was another planet, far beyond this one, beyond the Outer Rim, beyond even the known galaxy, that was known to some as "Terminus." Located in Companion Besh, a small, satellite galaxy that was commonly known as the "Rishi Maze," this planet had been discovered by the Intergalactic Banking Clan shortly before the Clone Wars began, as part of the Banking Clan's attempt to truly be "intergalactic" and to find mineral rich worlds that could be mined far away from the Republic and its regulations. The planet (which, in the records Captain Kruus had seen, was simply called "UP112," the "UP" for "Uninhabited Planet" or "Un-productive Planet") had a type 1 atmosphere, but not much else going for it. No minerals, no moons, no money. Thus, as the Clone Wars began, the IBC simply disregarded it.
But as the Confederacy lost more and more worlds to the Republic, it saw the advantage of having an isolated planet like UP112 that the Republic knew nothing about. Thus, according to the records, toward the end of the war the Confederacy had placed an unlimited projection base on UP112 and planned to use it to manufacture droids in secret as they had once done on Geonosis. Then the war ended, and what happened to UP112 was a mystery. Captain Kruus, who had heard of the planet's existence during the war, had always assumed that the base on the planet simply shut down or was never finished and that, with the death of the Separatist leaders on Mustafar, the "Un-productive Planet" was forgotten even by the IBC.
But now, a decade later, Kruus was determined to find out what had happened and to gather what droids and weapons he could for his coming attack on Zygerria. The Windfall appeared from hyperspace after a long, long trip to the Rishi Maze. It never would have made it if its Hardcell-class transports hadn't acted as fuel and supply ships to carry it the vast distance. Captain Kruus had just taken an herbal bath to refresh his skin when he arrived in high orbit over UP112, and he was dressed in his finest Cato Neimoidian robe and mitre as he sat on the bridge of his cruiser. "Vewy good. Scan for wifeforms and energy sources" he ordered.
